Popboi. Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 (edited) She's committed to evolve as an artist, of course it wasn't going to be disco or disco influenced again. Edited July 19, 2023 by Popboi.
whitehotforever Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 (edited) her Joanne is coming Edited July 19, 2023 by whitehotforever
Ewan Chaos Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 I would have been fine with her doing disco/similar sounds to Future Nostalgia or going in a new sonic direction tbh. I'm sure it'll be good, whatever it turns out to be. The people asking for her new music to sound like DL1 djsihdioshdioshd must be people who want her to fail 1 2
Bloodflowers. Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 It's hard topping breakup disco excellence Don't Start Now so it's better to move on
Cloudy Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 We love a pop girl that evolves The world is perched for mother

Bencharmer Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Great. Since 2020 disco pop was really overused.
KatyPrismSpirit Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 i feel like this is going to be the most pivotal album of dua's career. it kinda feels like this will be the album that will cement her position in pop culture history. how can she raise the bar from good music and massive hits to an album that is carefully curated, brings something new and feels authentic to her artistry? It's kinda like her "True Blue" or "4" moment of sorts.
AvadaKedavra Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 (edited) If i were Dua i would go for a Dancehall-Electro R&B-House-Tropical direction in that way she can still make dance pop. Strike first than Rihanna with the dancehall songs. Something with Get Busy-Promiscuous vibe would be cute. If she stops doin dancepop she will fade. Glad is a Bye Bye to the 80s Synthwave-disco sound. Better to reinvent herself. I would love Eurodance too but after the floppage of Miracle By Ellie Goulding in the USA. I dont know if USA are here for that sound Edited July 19, 2023 by AvadaKedavra
perfectillusion204 Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 I think it’s gonna be more rock/alt/indie pop vibes (like Harry ) However, I’d rather it be Pop/R&B, like early 2000s vibes. Definitely don’t see her doing country (yet). And I feel like it’s not gonna be electro/dancepop either (since that was essentially DL1). I would LOVE a dark/industrial pop album from her but I don’t think she’s going that way either.
CroNich Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Yeah I would love if she did more of a eurodance/house sound for the next album but it sounds like she’s going in a different direction entirely.
