sherloid_bai Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 On Mind Your Business release day and I can't tell if they love or hate him. He's a judge on The Voice here in the UK and when I told my manager about the new Britney and Will song she responded with 'will.i.am is such an amazing artist' 1
If U Seek Amy Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 From a Midwestern US perspective from my experience, they don't really seem to think much at all. If an old song comes on or for some reason he has come up in conversation they just remember his old hits/of him fondly for creating nostalgic radio songs. They don't really seem to have any critical thoughts about him or his skills. They just know him as the guy who used to make bops for the radio. He really isn't in the news or dramatic, so they hold a seemingly at least neutral if not higher view of him I guess. It seems to me the only people who have a more thought out opinion of him are big time music lovers or pop fans who hate him/dont like him for Britney Jean
BrokenMachine Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Well, he's a man.mp3 The GP might not be such a stan of him being into every thing he releases, but they know he makes catchy music and they love his hits
mystery Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 They don't feel anything based on his chart performance in the last decade.
Monster Queen Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 True GP: Don't know who he is Casual music listener: A faceless artist with a few radio hits Music lover: A member of Black Eyed Peas
vuelve88 Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 They regard him as one of the best lyricists of all time. 2
JasonGosling Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 GP: He still can have it. Last year, he had a couple of hits with BEP. And if I am not wrong, he's one of the pioneers in sampling hit singles from the 70s, 80s, 90s and putting them into the soulless EDM tracks. It still resonates with the GP (according to chart performance) Me: The old BEP is not bad but his music has been trash for many years. I don't care or listen to whatever he puts out these days
BTS Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 My dad loves him after watching him on Graham Norton. He literally thought Will.i.am was still one of the most popular rappers rn
Mark Rih Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 They don’t think of him but they remember his classics

Right Now Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 He’s pretty faceless tbh and even the bops he was a part of in the past are kinda forgotten unless they’re played at the club.
Dula Peep Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 I had to replay Scream and Shout cause I could barely remember it at all..
