Beyoncé had the new album out, that is a promo. And if britney really want and put efforts into it, she can goes on tour again, her old songs sill hold up really well.

I was thinking about this…. It won’t happen at least this year, U2 will do a Vegas residency at the new Vegas Sphere Arena, maybe a Residency at this Arena will be a good idea, but let’s see, 1st the book release after that im curious to see what she want to do next

Many Britney fans have chosen not to support the song though, which is completely crazy to me. Every artist has some bad songs but their fans still show them support. That was a first time for me witnessing so many fans refusing to supporting it and that's sad but yeah, most of us don't care about commercial success. Britney is long past her prime and clearly does not care at all. The only reason why she agreed to put it out as she said is because she thought it was fun for the fans. While it'd be cool for Brit to get a few more hit songs, it's not like we are 15 years old teenagers living their lives through their favorite popstar

She did a written interview with Vogue where she said it's a fun, camp song for the fans but that's it. She hasn't truly acknowledged it lol (and probably won't). It's not like she did much more for Hold Me Closer though to be fair, she posted about it on her Instagram like twice and that's it.

Beyoncé benefits from an incredible image in the public's eye and her team is absolutely fantastic and doing miracles. She does not need to do any efforts to sell music. Her image, radio and streams are more than enough.

 

Britney isn't lazy, she is traumatized and do not care about commercial success either, which means she is not even going to do the bare minimum, though many people have a bad opinion of Brit, she hasn't been popular in a long time and is not a streaming artist. She is just having fun in the studio and when she does these featurings, it's basically mainly made for her fanbase.

We don't have yesterday's numbers yet but MYB received 3.2M streams on Spotify in 6 days. It is at 4.6M on Youtube.

For comparison, HMC received 3.5M streams on Spotify in 24 hours. I don't remember the Youtube numbers.

I don’t really know what to say. As a fan I would die for Britney to be invested again but I completely understand why she isn’t interested anymore in being a popstar and working hard. Getting some new music from time to time is enough to make me happy. My interest in the music industry is almost inexistant nowadays. Streaming has killed a lot of things. Artists can sell everything without any efforts nowadays as long as they’re popular among those who stream music.
