@Virtual_instanity is just an OBH, troll a bit

no one expects this to go Top10, most of us don't think it will be Top50

But you all told us that it was Britney and her name which carried Hold me closer to it's huge success.

Why can she not carry this song also ?

This is so bad 😭 but it has hooks in it that make you wanna listen to it again, idk how to describe it 😭

It’s weird. Like on first listen it’s absolutely the worst song ever recorded. But then it kinda works its way into your mind and you find yourself playing it again. 🤷‍♂️ It’s so bad it came back around to being good.

Lmao will and brit will be lucky if this even charts in the hot 100. It does not have a radio deal, no video, horrible playlisting on spotify

It's reach is heading towards 30 million - not too bad, means it has room to grow.

MANJOBI is my favorite rn.

Okay so I finally got a chance to listen to this and y’all are right: it’s bad :skull: Like yeah it’s catchy, I have it stuck in my head already, but it’s catchy in the same way that something like Baby Shark is. It’s just repetitive, there’s no catchy production quirks, the melody is bland as hell, will.i.am is… way too present. I kinda want to meltdown but I just keep telling myself this is a one off single… hopefully.

On the bright side, I didn’t detect any Myah. This is definitely all Britney.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the worst part is this song serves basically no purpose for the Army. At least S&S was a chart smasha and we could use it for bragging rights, MYB is just gonna flop into oblivion and be forgotten by next month. Then we’re gonna be stuck with a song that’s like 80% will.i.am with Britney repeating the same phrase over some shitty EDM beat from 2013. Tragic :rip:

Why is I Came To Dance low key better than half BJ? It would've smashed at the club.

What? :rip: No one said Britney alone carried it

but her fans were definitely a force in the song's success

Will's previous song debuted with around 100k

MYB debuting with 1.2m, when less than Half of Britney's fans streamed - tells u enough :toofunny3:

I'm loving this song and I'm not even a Britney stan. It does sound like a song from 10 years ago though but I personally have no problem with that.

This is definitely going to be a club banger! Dance floor ready for sure. I imagine that it'll do well on the dance charts.

This song is one of the worst music I've heard from a pop girl. Get him away from Britney asap.

Listen…everyone of our faves has songs we hate. But we still support them because we support the artist.

MYBB is a campy mess. Brit likes it. It has parts that are fun. You all who are obsessed with chart performance need to FREE yourselves from the parasocial relationships you have with stanning charts.

The way some of you are treating Britney like she’s this extremely vulnerable child who shouldn’t see any criticism because it’ll make her stop wanting to “release anything ever again”. The woman is almost 42 years old, has been in the business for almost 25 years with countless stellar perfectly crafted pop songs. She NEEDS to know that the public and the fan base consider her last single utter trash, so she’ll never collaborate with its creators again. It’s the only way to get will.i.am out of her artistic presence forever.

No one is immune from criticism. Everyone has said this song it’s messy. Some of us enjoy for that reason. We like messy catchy bops for the gym, to drive, for the club. You are the one whos been whinnying all day, everyday for the whole week in this thread. And it’s tiring. We get it. You hate it, it’s ok . You’re into bAnon conspiracies. Take a damn break. I know I’m not alone when I say this based on those reports. Go outside, listen to another Artist for a bit. It’s ok to dislike songs… to say it all day everyday… that’s weird.

This sounds like a rough demo. Like what was the point of releasing it

I cannot agree more. I could have enjoyed the song way more even if the production was still so William bad, if they had put some efforts in the vocal production and the music video. We  are here trying to know if it's an AI, Myah Marie or I don't know what, and it is just sad if you think about it.  Is it so hard to produce a song from Britney when it comes to vocal?

I don't know, the book seems lazy, this song is lazy her dance videos on insta are lazy, the vogue interview is lazy (it's obviously just PR and you can tell its not even her talking).

I will use the song at the gym, and I am glad she is doing what she wants, but a good song would have made it for the lack of promo.

I guess at the end I am just scared that she fades into oblivion. I don't want to live in a world where Britney is irrelevant.

I just listened and found it so bland. It sounds nothing like a Britney song imo it's too boring :deadbanana:

I joked friday about will being so off touch that he is probably tracking how the song’s doing on itunes instead of securing a radio deal and a tth placement and then he posts about it being #1 on itunes :dies:

He’s gonna have a meltdown when he realizes it’s not going to chart at all
