No way this has SITS/Matches playlisting :skull: :skull: :skull:

SITS - 23M

MYB - 25M

Matches - 29M

HMC has double the playlisting MYB had on it's 2nd day and triple on the next day
MYB probably won't do over 50M nnnn :skull:

No wonder Brit and Will like eachother

they both suck at payola :deadbanana:

Do you actually believe the payola/playlisting would help much? If most of the stans consider the song terrible, the non-fans won’t even bother playing it in full. I hope she moves on to something new in like a month and we’ll completely forget about its existence once the book comes out.

Fans =/= GP

ATRL is proof that the fans don't know **** what people like

there are literally users in here telling u that S&S got maybe even more hate at the start :deadbanana4:

ATRL literally thought Rihanna would be a flash in the pan lol

but I agree w/ u on the last one

I know S&S did receive mixed reactions at first, but being a frequent pop music listener you cannot possibly think they’re on the same level sonically, like come on now.

The nerve of people comparing it to HMC and even trying to drag some songs from the Glory sessions. The embarrassment of it all.

So now we’re bringing Mood Ring into this? I guess I’ve truly seen it all

The song is simply not good and I say this as a die hard Britney fan. Will clearly wanted to cash in on Brit's clout. :rip:

Playlisting and TTH would have helped a lot. HMC had way more and it still wasn't that good for playlisting. I hope it shows Britney that she should never ever work with will again lmao and I am glad it's his song, give us some Max Martin b!tch !

Doesn't have to do anything with playlisting tho

Drake constantly releases trash (sometimes bops, but not as often now) and his playlisting is immaculate

and, nobody cares what Stans think

yall can't predict 100% what the GP would like :rip: already said this

I dont get what your problem with this is

The tweet is clearly attacking Fans for saying that they are releasing an old song (MYB)

while SITS/Matches/MR were also old projects

I don’t think many people have a problem with it being an old song. MYB is highly critiqued because it’s a terrible Britney Jean reject which should have stayed in the vault eternally. If she released something, let’s say, on the level of Strangest Love (which is 20 years old btw), no one would’ve complained.

These Twitter stans are just being delusional and trying to bring Glory songs into this conversation for some odd reason, which is triggering and shouldn’t be a thing.

Fans always complain

especially in the Britney fandom nnn

and these Twitter stans have a Point :deadbanana:despite the fact that everything on Glory might be better than MYB (but no one is talking about this here)

I hope she instead works with Stuart Price and makes magic

If MYB had been sonically pleasant to listen to and come from, let’s say, her 2007 sessions, nobody would’ve given a damn about it being old.

The mood ring comment is so dumb why do these 40 year olds in her fandom always have the weakest takes

anyway will.i.am needs to STOP doing interviews about the song, his weird hearnesty and honestly lowkey lying is making me second guess the song's ironic nature :biblio:

No, part of the problem is they tried selling MYB as a brand new collaboration until fans pieced together that it was from the BJ era. Stars and mood ring had always been sold as songs from the glory era.

Not the same thing.

Not the same thing.

You’re probably right about them originally wanting to sell this as something brand new… and this narrative definitely would’ve happened if Myah had never mentioned that song during her Q&A in 2020.

I think the reason they brought up SWTS, MR and Matches is that they were pushed/released because the conservatorship state and record label wanted it and people fell in love with those songs, now that a song that Britney herself actually wanted released is being trashed, they're questioning if the same people are actually real fans.

It will NOT chart buy it will become a CULT moment in both stan history and pop culture

everybody, fans and non fans are having a field with this, getting in on the joke, bopping and having FUN, even charli

let's just enjoy it, who knows when we are getting music again

I'm happy this is already forgotten. It is her worst song to date!

Conservatorship or not, we know Britney LOVED making Glory and it’s ALL that matters. Dragging any songs from those sessions is not what anyone should be doing in their tragic attempts to defend Mind Your AI.
