what a bop! very fun and sexy. A little bit one note but i don’t mind at all tbh both ATE btw. Miss when the girls really have a flow and were pure hip-hop more than trying to appeal the pop audience. It felt more fresh. Anyway does this sample sth? Or a song samples this? I have listened to that noise during the entire song before but yea

Florence + The Machine - What The Water Gave Me

I saw her live this year and was incredible even though she didn’t performed this song and I can see why. I mean it’s a very well made alt song but doesn’t go anywhere or offers sth distinct like other of her songs but it’s not bad. Just very middle of the road considering it’s 5 minutes

So calm and intense x like it! Don’t know if it will end up on my ranks since the round already started and I like a lot of songs but yea like this it’s pretty x reminds me a lot of Raveena meets Sade which is a good thing

I'm not a Florence fan, don't really connect with her music at all. This song is kind of cool though, I like the instrumental and it has a slightly dark mystical vibe and she's a bit more restrained than normal which I appreciate. I won't give it points but it was a fine listen~

Victoria Monét - How Does It Make You Feel

Her new album was super solid! I love that it had this very dreamy, sort of 70s inspired vibe all throughout. This sounds like a warm summer day in the grass. It actually reminds me of something from Janelle Monae (I'm thinking Don't Judge Me?), anyway I like it a lot!!

The production is pretty stunning and nuanced, but I feel like that's the main thing to take away. Their vocals aren't the centre point as much to me idk. This is a nice listen, unsure if I will give it points/low points.

But yeah Solange's music is pretty much all incredible and I love that she's done a lot of different things over the years. I keep coming back to this project because it gives me a lot of nostalgia

Great album and greattttt vibe, love the slacker rock. She's so talented at taking 90s styles and sounds and making them work for her. It feels like an ode to that time period but still very much her. This is one of my faves from the album, easily getting points!!

I was hoping when Aly & AJ were banned it would be an Insomniatic song  this is fine, I don't really love Blinding Lights-esque pop because it's been done to death

Dreamy and chill with a super cool vibe/bassline throughout. I feel like this is a 2AM thoughts type song. It's just a really interesting vibe, getting points from me for sure!!

It's cool [2] sort of album track-ish I guess. That's the issue sometimes where a song might sound better in context of an album. I like the electric guitar though, this feels like it might JUST miss the cut off of points

I mean, it's a Golden Hour song, it's going to be excellent and it's going to get points. Love how even the more straightforward country/folk songs on this album STILL have elements of dream pop to them, she said artistry ~~and then said never again~~

It's got a Tove Lo vibe for sure, its not bad though, kind of lower energy than I expected since everyone was saying this show had bops. I'm not sure if I'd give it points? Maybe on the lower end, but yeah its not bad. Her flat delivery is kind of endearing
