I don’t know how or why this isn’t a feature yet. You should be able to “block” and or hide someone’s posts and vice versa if you do not wish to engage with them. Many a other forums have this feature. It should be a given on a forum like this where members are literally baiting users every single day.

So let’s take a poll, would you like the ability to block someone’s posts or block them from viewing or interacting with yours? Discuss and vote.

There is ignore option that pretty smoothly hides posts of selected users, they also can't dm you, I use it

You can 'Ignore' people here but honestly, I'd love to be able to block people from quoting and downvoting me because there are certain lunatics that I wish I didn't have to deal with.

Literally same. Some users on here literally have no real life outside of the internet and live to provoke and grasp at straws to feel better about themselves. I come on here for fun and sometimes light hearted shade but it’s never that deep. I’d like to not let some of these psychos have the ability to quote or interact with my posts at all.

You can mute/ignore them. Same thing. I don’t, but I normally don’t even read or respond when I’m quoted :gaycat:

I don’t got time to argue with Random’s on the internet. Unless I’m bored and wanna be messy for a hour

Yes, + the ability to mute certain words so threads dont show up on your feed. ATRL is flooded with only 1 artist these days

Not when some users literally accuse you of things you never said which have serious implications and could result in an unwarranted ban. Some of these users are actually annoying and live to troll.

Totally hear ya. Mods should start cleaning house and moving those threads to base unless they’re warranted.

My first thought was: no, I want to be able to discuss things with everyone.

But then..I remembered that some users are insane. So it might be a good idea tbh.

Yes, I can block people who aren't useful to me or are harmful to our community.

I'm like 3 days new on this site and I have like 2 users I already put on ignore. More to come :fan:

Seriously the ignore button already does it for me

And lose an opportunity to downvote them? Never!

Been working on something like this actually.

I just would like that when you ignore someone you don't have to see the 'hidden post' mention, in that way the function is kind of pointless, whereas in other boards I saw that the posts from the user you block literally disappear for good with no mention of hidden posts.

You’re right it’s not but some members go out of their way to make it serious and members deserve to have the ability to not deal with that **** and let ‘em argue w the wall

Yes, just in case anyone has an issue with me—they can block me and not have to worry about seeing my posts. You do not have to worry about me, when I'm just here ultimately minding my business. smiling-tyler-perry.gif

There is an ignore button but I haven't used it in years. Plus the 2 I used to ignore don't even come on atrl anymore :campfire:

Yes. Where they can't see or quote me and vice versa. Some members can be so controlling and even on ignore they can still be annoying.
