Really liked the first episode, absolutely hooked!

A fun and interesting interpretation. The celebrity guest roles were fun and Donald Glover & Maya Erskine have great chemistry with each other (though I can't help but wonder how Pheobe Waller-Bridge would have been as Jane). I am happy this John and Jane have way better character development than the film version has. 

 

Seeing as this is already #1 on Prime Video,  I hope this is already secured a second season as this does kind of end on a cliffhanger.

I watched the first two episodes and it was miles better than Citadel, the disappointing spy thriller Prime released last year.

I had your comment in mind when I watched the first episode... And when it happened: OOF!

 

OT: First episode was good! Can't wait to watch the rest. I don't remember the original movie but I think this series is gonna go more into the fact that you have to have some scar to choose this kind of life and I love it!

i’m on ep 6 now. first 2 eps were great but it kinda loses steam once u get to the middle eps. Maya deserves the success tho, maybe this will drive people to check out the phenomenal pen15

Absolutely great series. I do not consider the ending trash, unless this doesn’t get renewed. But if we get season 2, it’s great suspense. 
 

One thing I will critique is that it should’ve been a longer season because the show kept moving quickly through their relationship. But I’ll assume that’s just because they were picked up for 6 episodes. If season 2 happens, maybe there will be more.

I'm currently at episode 5 and I have two criticism:

First one being about their relationship that I have a hard time to follow because now is talking KIDS and to me they've been together for a few months, top... I understand that their feelings are reinforced by the fast live they're living but calm down...

 

Secondly, it brings great comedic effect at some point, but they are sh*tty spies my god!!

You would assume they would be more subtle and more smart with their choices, but no: they choose to trust anyone, they great people at their door with guns, they threaten innocent people to shoot them... Like, they're the most obvious spies, I can't!

It's hard for me to believe they've been trusted with such important missions when they display such behaviors.

Agreed, I think they're both heavily miscast. You can tell they weren't going for a Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie duo, but still.

The casting for this made it doomed from the start.

Started this and actually like it a lot. It's quite understated in a way, but I like it. 

 

I also really like the main 2 characters so far. I thought they were miscast originally, but they do a great job. And I like the approach the show took. Only halfway through the show atm.
