Hector Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 (edited) Why was What's The Time Where You Are? not the second single? It's better than Get Me Started and hits MUCH harder like Rush does. Scratch that, Silly should have been the second single. It's a perfect dance pop bop Both would have been better following Rush to be honest. One Of Your Girls is really good and I can see why it's been chosen as the third single. In My Room is a bop (Troye singing in Spanish?!), Still Got It & Can't Go Back Baby are nice ballads. Love the bop that is Honey, and How To Stay With You is a good closer, works well as the soundtrack to a TV show or movie. Overall, incredibly solid album. This really should have been released earlier this summer, it has both the bops and the laidback hot summer midtempos. Edited October 12, 2023 by Hector

MonsterJohn Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I'm ready for pitchfork to name Silly BNM. I hope he makes a video for it, the continuation vibe of the 2 previous videos would be perfect
Oblivion Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Can't Go Back, Baby is the equivalent of WAHWTD from Bloom. No wonder since both hit so much and are my faves from his discog. The track listing to me flows seamlessly this time around too. Such a win! 1
yonsé Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 its a cute album, good even. the singles are the strongest tracks. interesting that he didn't withold any of those to the release. i think he needs to work with some new people cause the sound is kind of stagnant from his last 2 albums. 2

AndresVanDeKamp Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 After a few more listens I really do not like the Spanish parts on In My Room. Either do a Spanish language track or don’t, I just can’t get into the switching. Sorry! Love the track sequencing, I do find the closer a bit of a “meh” note to end on. I like the song, even if I can’t hear where AG had a hand in it at all. I guess I was expecting a bit more of a closer with him on the production credits (think Track 10). And still wishing there was ONE more “got something to give each other” either on Honey or at the end of How to Stay With You, but I guess that’s a minor gripe. Definitely a huge improvement from Bloom and In a Dream! I’ve been following him casually for a while now but this album has me excited to see how far he can push himself creatively next time. So many great production moments on this album that I’m sure the next will be even better!
Into The Void Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 hmmm i like it but it feels like he dragged songs to make them over 3 minutes. I will say it seems to not follow the simplistic formula of verse pre chorus chorus etc its unique in a way?
Into The Void Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 on top of that I/ think my faves are Whats The Time Where You Are, Still Got It, one of the Girls and the closer I need more listens with it though

campelo Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I don't know if it makes sense: it's such a good album but too short, when I finish I don't want to repeat right away
