Whoever said Rush sounds nothing like the rest of the album was spot on. This album, unfortunately, is not as good as the Rush single/video. I can see why Rush, and even Got Me Started, were pushed as singles. They're the most upbeat spots on the album. I'm glad Troye fans love the album, and I could see this album being even bigger than Bloom, but yeah, an album full of Rush's would've been amazing. I will say it's nice to see Troye look and sound more confident and to see him more comfortable embracing gay culture. I just think the album is pretty mid.

It's a good pop album, I really like that it's not all the same as Rush and there's still a bit of his excellent taste in melodies

I already knew this was going to be AOTY for me (sorry Caroline Polachek), but I was not expecting such a great body of work. The way he has never disappointed me with any track, I love him so much. 

Personally, my top 3 (aside the singles) was:

1. Silly

2. What’s The Time Where You Are?

3. One Of The Girls

 

It’s such a great improvement from Bloom and In a Dream. I’m so proud of him. I love every single track 

The song I think I liked the least was In My Room, but I definitely loved the feature. Some parts reminded me of Kali Uchis’ Sin Miedo.
