Not at all - there are many 10 track albums out there that are not short, ranging from 40-50 minutes. The songs are on the shorter side, but I guess at least they're all radio friendly lengths. Half an hour for a 10 track album is short.

Weyes Bloods newest album has 10 tracks and except for the 2 instrumental tracks everything is at least 4 minutes or longer and the album is over 45 minutes in length. The album is so short because most of the songs are around the 3 minute mark.

you don't say :skull: to compare weyes with her 5+ minutes long songs to troye is insane, they make completely different music for different crowds. let's celebrate no song is below 3 minutes, in a streaming age it's an achievement.

Yeah, exactly. It's a short album in terms of length, not in terms of tracks. 10 track albums are fairly standard these days, but at least most artists don't average about 3:10 per song :gaycatx: what do we expect from a youtuber tho.

Talk don’t realize 3:18 is an average track length these days… if not more than average.

The absolute lies here. Maybe for your average, basic "pop artist".

I don't really like the 2 snippets.  Can he stop with the excessive vocal processing please :rip:

I never listened to his previous outputs. But I'm tuned in. Loving this era. The visual, the music and the body; it's there.

2.50 minutes is now the new standard for pop music. This is for easier radio play.

Check out his 2020 project In A Dream while you're waiting for this album!

You clearly have no idea what D.L culture is in the gay communality. The album is about sexual identity to young LGBTIQA youth.

This is one of many themes included on the album. It makes the project more real cause this is exactly what is happening out there.

Not at all, but it’s obvious to spot the difference when artists actually put an effort into what they’re making than just promoting an album full of ringtones :gaycat5:

This is not correct at all. Maybe pop music isn't for you then?

Popculture elements like eurovison state the perfect pop song should be under 3 minutes. Pop music is about don't bore us just get to the point.

invalidating someone's art just because the songs aren't 5+ minutes long is such a stupid take :toofunny2:  there's an incredible amount of effort put into everything, just because it's a 3 minute pop song doesn't mean it was easy to make or there was no effort put into it, y'all need to stop thinking that everyone is trying to reinvent the wheel or something, it's literally pop music that is meant to be fun :bibliahh:

one thing is being DL other thing is being infatuated for a straight and saying "if you ever get desperate, I am here"   not this humiliation

So you want troye to create this false impression on what it is really like out there. Keep living in "ideal world"

When I was 18 I hooked up with this guy that was basically only into girls and I agreed to act and talk like a girl the entire time so that I could suck him off.

Please.. we've all been there in our early queer ages dreaming about the cute straight boy in high school...&  most of us have had some kind of hook up with a "curious/discreet" labeled guy.

I'm not saying it's good , but it happens, and it's cool that these topics get discussed in mainstream music , cause I would have died for a album like this when I was 15.
