Virgos Groove Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Overall, a pretty good project, even it it could do with some trimming. Highlights for me are the opening track, Sirens, Meltdown, Fe!n, Delresto, Circus Maximus (this one sound straight out of Yeezus) and Looove.

Take Me Apart Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 worst album of the year for me every song felt way too long and most of it just sounded like a yeezus cosplay not worth the wait or the sacrifices 1 2

Either artists don't know how to curate their projects or simply don't care because more tracks = more streams = more cash
NEX Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 Giving strong Yeezus vibes. Nnn at it being released on its ~10 year anniversary
BOOMBAYAH Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 (edited) The initial half of the album proves to be highly experimental, which I found quite intriguing. As the album progresses into its latter part, it adopts a more conventional hip-hop style, which regrettably fails to captivate my interest. While I acknowledge that there are instances reminiscent of 'YEEZUS,' the album still manages to maintain an overall commendable quality. Personally, I still lean towards ASTROWORLD as my preferred choice (I recall rarely feeling the urge to skip any tracks on that album). Nevertheless, I believe I should revisit it for a fair assessment. After giving UTOPIA a second listen, I would rate it 3.5 out of 5 stars. The standout tracks, such as 'Modern Jam,' 'Thank God,' 'Hyaena,' and 'Sirens’ and ‘Fe!n,' truly shine and showcase the album's strength. Delresto has grown on me significantly, and I must mention how heavenly Beyoncé sounds in the final minute, alongside Bon Iver. Travis' latter verse remains the highlight of that particular song, and the production during his standout verse is truly remarkable. With that said, I must admit that more involvement from Travis would likely have elevated it to a top 5 track. UTOPIA is a commendable album with some outstanding tracks and exceptional production. However, its decline in the latter half, with some songs seemingly acting as mere fillers, detracts from its overall impact. Edited July 28, 2023 by BOOMBAYAH
FlyPirate Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 So this started reaaaally good then middle section was MEH to me. By the end the album brought back the good thing. Also Playboy Carti is losing it atp aint he
Babydoll. Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 21s verse on topia twins is so cute lol <3 loved not knowing who's featured on what so far in my first listen there needs to be some editing. like not all of these songs need to be on the album, overall feeling is that there's a bit of a slump in the middle but would need to listen more to pinpoint
Ivan_brit Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 I went in with low expectations & I was shook I actually liked the album, love the production yes it was very Kanye West influenced but I like it The collabs are fire this is so far the best Rap album of 2023, Drake better come with something interesting couse Travis could Outshadow his upcoming album
