Following her stint on The CW's Superman & Lois, Stacey Farber a.k.a Degrassi's Ellie Nash, has scored her own show on The CW opposite iconic actress Lea Thompson.

The show originally aired on Canada's CTV, but The CW has acquired it for the US.

Ellie Nash is not who I expected upon opening this thread, more so Holly J or Fiona. But happy for her!

Knew it would be Stacey since I follow her on IG and have heard about the show already. Good for her.

So happy for Stacey, despite the network.

CW going an adult route? This isn’t giving teen drama or super hero show?

Ellie was the emo girl who dated the gay guy, Marco in like the 3rd season?

So you’ve not watched those shows then? Because how exactly is Nikita not aimed at adults? It was constantly singled out by critics for being completely different to anything on the CW and how it should have been on a different network. It’s okay if you haven’t watched it, but don’t blatantly lie and pretend you have. Nikita could have aired on Fox or NBC and not been out of place at all.

Nikita was NAWT a typical CW teen drama and that’s just a fact ATRL user Power love.

Shows like Alias, Blindspot and Person of Interest aren’t viewed as ‘teen shows’ and they’re no different to Nikita.

Also @Power loveSupernatural and iZombie aren’t teen dramas either. Again, that’s just a fact. A teen drama is something like The Vampire Diaries, 90210 or Gossip Girl. A show with a predominantly TEEN cast aimed at TEENS. Supernatural and iZombie weren’t created to be aimed specifically at TEENS which is why they have ADULT casts throughout the entire series. It’s not rocket science. :rip:

But that doesn’t mean it’s target towards adults :rip: but I’m sure the network was happy with adult fans

You right because both networks have teen targeted shows as well. Most networks do!  90210, OC etc

Correct but it was still marketed towards teens.. It does have a different promise to most CW shows true but this show is still a teen possibility young adult show. I have seen every season besides the final one so please don’t disrespect me

What did that preview prove teens can watch that no issue :rip:

Yes they are with just massive adult following.

Sometimes sure :rip:.. Charmed was for sure originally targeted towards teens/young adults & none of the cast members were in high school or teens. You do not have to have a teen cast or be in high school to be a teen show. There are many other examples!

CW is just buying cheap already-made shows for its scripted programming.
