theoghon Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 I guess labels are all in some great stalemate of our times, between the promise of AI, tiktok, and huge anticipation for the next wave of MAJOR pop Girl Releases (DL3, OR2, Doja & BE3), it seems like execs are trying to figure out the next savvy move and, depending on the success of these 4 albums, whether the idea of a pop star is even commercially viable anymore..
Into The Void Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 I have my own personal fave up and coming artists Some r just old flops tho that I still look forward too. I think I listen to more flops than big artists

I created this thread cause i wanna bring some light to "Realistic Stars" we can have in the next years gettin top 10s in the hot 100.... It would be great if we could know all the new artists Interscope-republic-RCA have signed in the last two years All the artists havin colossal success in the past decades were in MAJOR LABELS. Thats one of the best ways to know who will turn into a Major Star. Im too lazy to go and explore those labels whole roster of artists and discover the newbies https://www.republicrecords.com/artists/ https://www.interscope.com/artists/#/ https://www.columbiarecords.com/artists/ https://www.atlanticrecords.com/artists Here's a start

Im exploring those lists in this moment. I dont wanna be mean but I'm looking, and they have a lot of artists who don't have commercial viability, and some who have already flopped hard, and I don't see them being able to properly make a comeback and they would be better in an indie label Something i noticed is how there's a lot of singers there serving indie alt visuals and style and like copycats from each other. Look how edgy i look I think there's a lack of artists with a more individual style. Something very unique to them Like katy's fruit-pin up persona or Gaga's tech glam persona,Britney girl next door one....... Thanks everyone for your comments. So insightful to discuss about this manifesting tons of newcomers arriving this year or the next one and smashing with their singles Were tired of people listening the same old songs. We need some new blood Edited July 8, 2023 by AvadaKedavra

fauxtography Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 tiktok/social media has killed the standard pop star. gen z is listening to artists called poopyxoxoFACE that have 100m streamed songs that you truly had no idea existed.
Solaria Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 I just want a new superstar that can sing, dance, reinvents herself, cares for the visual aspect of her music and primarily has her roots in dance/electronic music. These new girls dont know how to give us big, blockbuster escapist eras anymore with the exception of Dua
Wicked Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 There's plenty of up and comers... Asking for specifically pop up and comers that will dominate the charts isn't reasonable anymore. Anyone from any genre can blow up now.

Alldeezy Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 I Only really care for Allday, 360 and Triple One when it comes to new releases and keeping up to date, otherwise I just wait till Release Rader drops new music on my spotify. Think when it comes to girls I only really keen for Madison Beer, Tinashe, Nessa Barrett & Maggie Lindemann These days.
