AvadaKedavra Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 (edited) In the 2000s-2010s the musical landscape was overloaded with new female singers havin mainstream success From Britney to Beyonce,Avril,Xtina,Shakira,Jlo,Pink,Fergie,Nelly,Kelly,Gwen,Tay,Kesha,Katy,Miley,Gaga,Lana,Carly,Lorde,Ariana,Ellie,Halsey,Dua,Zara,Doja,Billie.......jjust too many to count but these last years everything looks so so dry. Olivia Rodrigo-Ice Spice-latto? are some of the only artists rising in this new decade and able to catch lightning in a bottle and gettin big support from the media. Where are the others? what the hell happened to all the newcomers? Where they are? Are not the labels signin new talent? all the black-white-asian-latino-middle eastern pop newcomers.... Is a new decade. We should be havin new singers right and left i was promised new pop titans as powerful as Gaga-Beyonce.... by the runes this decade and they lied to me Do you have any rising artists to watch this 2023-2024-2025? Any artists you think could turn into someone really powerful-prominent in the mainstream-charts and shake up the system? ATRL is always ahead of trends and staned a lot of our current stars before they were famous Male singers are also allowed to be posted here Thanks for your comments baby Edited July 8, 2023 by AvadaKedavra
KatyPrismSpirit Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 theres a lot of talent out there but these trash labels are dumb af only signing these throwaway tiktok acts. 1

What if the next "Katy Perry" "Lady Gaga" are workin in some Mcdonalds-InNOut in Los Angeles trying to be signed or to be supported by all these labels and they ignored them cause theyre giving contracts to tiktok stars Our future popstars are doin something in this moment and unaware of how big they will turn 1
Feanor Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 I'm pretty excited for the follow-up albums of all the newer pop girls, aka 'GUTS', Dojo's new album, DL3, BE3 etc. 3
halcyonday Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 the days of pop stars are over all that's next is recycling old hits and AI generated artists that are more profitable and customizable than normal humans 2

Europe Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 We are not getting another generation of HUGE stars, the industry has also realized this, that is why they are willing to support old acts with generous radio payola, like Taylor & Beyonce. In the future there will be lots of small artists with their own following, but culture is more segmented by the second, and it is harder and harder to gain the attention of the masses. More people are tuning out, but you are also not allowed to do controversial things that would make people talk and notice you anymore, because if you do anything questionable you are cancelled and the moral police will forever haunt anyone who dares to support you. 1 1

abrantino Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 since the upcoming years are going to be dominated by homophobia I guess the music aligns with that too, so more new country & rap stars and less new pop girlies anyway, stream Chappell Roan to support a queer woman 1
Achilles. Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 No but it’s so frustrating like wtf is even happening. Griff won the Brit Rising Star award two years ago and has opened for Dua Lipa and Coldplay, but it’s still crickets about her “debut” album; all she has is a “mixtape.” Baby Queen’s first release also got labelled a mixtape, even though it’s one of the best and most fully envisioned pop debuts in recent memory. Can labels please just let artists release music.
Nashe Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 the issue with the pop girls ''drought'' is that ever since Lana del Rey, Billie Eilish and Lorde debuted record labels started signing and investing into their copycats and also that type of singer-songwriter girly with little to no charisma. It was obvious that these acts wouldn't last since they aren't versatile enough to remain on the pop landscape. What we have today is the result of years of negligence of a formula which is going to appeal to masses in any given period. Taylor's massive success right now is partly due to absolutely no competition in the younger female-pop field. 1

I know lots of these newcomers cause ATRL is the best way to discover newbies and i always visit the music section but the ones with chances to be as mainstream as Olivia-Ice look so so rare???? I created this thread cause i wanna bring some light to "Realistic Stars" we can have in the next years gettin top 10s in the hot 100.... It would be great if we could know all the new artists Interscope-republic-RCA have signed in the last two years All the artists havin colossal success in the past decades were in MAJOR LABELS. Thats one of the best ways to know who will turn into a Major Star. Im too lazy to go and explore those labels whole roster of artists and discover the newbies Edited July 8, 2023 by AvadaKedavra
