Two countries that only make up less than 5% of the whole continent is not a continent banning something.

Two countries nnn, but I am glad this is happening. The hypocrisy of Hollywood inviting Zelensky to make speeches about invasions being bad during award season, while they gladly submit to China and its invasion of Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Hollywood is struggling with marketing and social pulse, I am surprised more people on ATRL haven't aim for those roles to drive impact. This protest will backfire and probably have China push it more. Barbie could also edit out the scenes for those country.

they kowtow to RMB so hard just for china to shun them out of their local cinemas at the end due to their own "nationalist movies first" :ahh: Hollywood's never learnt a thing

Good, then don't make a fool of yourself. You may live in the other side of the oceans and not really care about 9dl map but it's very important to us, please respect us and our country.

Don't think so.

“Senator Cruz and Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) has been fighting for years to prevent American companies, especially Hollywood studios, from altering and censoring their content to appease the Chinese Communist Party,”

Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.) reiterated his call for lawmakers to support his legislation that would discourage Hollywood from Chinese Communist Party censorship.  “Hollywood studios that bow to Communist China prompted me to introduce the SCREEN Act. In no world should American films be spreading CCP propaganda. I encourage all film studios to stand with integrity or lose support from federal entities like the DOD. While it may just be a Barbie map in a Barbie world, the fact that a cartoonish, crayon-scribbled map seems to go out of its way to depict the PRC’s unlawful territorial claims illustrates the pressure that Hollywood is under to please CCP censors."
