What do you guys expect to happen “cutting a check” Like I’m genuinely curious as to what reparations people are referring to everytime this subject comes up. How does that mean anything sincere or fix the past?

There isn't a price for past wrongs so giving money to individuals doesn't make any sense. There are things that can be done - scholarships, community building, trade, etc.
