Kintsugi Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I Wanna Call You... she absolutely ruined this one, unlistenable the rest (excluding Stars, what a snore) is pretty amazing though! can't believe after 11 years we FINALLY have this and it's not via leaked bad quality mp3s
pinkbowvintage Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I love that the causals get to finally hear so many of these songs now it's bop after BOP
rihannasbe$tfrnd Posted June 1 Posted June 1 She should have left this in the hard drive I see why she got shelved 3 11
pinkbowvintage Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Just a Kiss is beautiful. Snatched is SO fun with the drag queen Priyanka on it. Unfortunately, Sleepwalker and Jenny's Got a Boyfriend are skips for me. I really do think Tanlines could've and should've been on this, regardless of when it was recorded. It matches the sound and its one of her best unreleased and perfect for summer. my top tracks are probably: Don't Get Mad Get Famous American Girl (a classic!) Just a Kiss Rewind Your Heart (a leak that I'm glad made it) 1

Schami66 Posted June 1 Posted June 1 This record is perfect for what it is, in my opinion. Sparkly summer-pop with huge hooks. I love all the updates on the tracks. I've read that many of you don't like the new version of I Wanna Call U but to me it's (at least) just as good and fun as the demo. The one track I don't really care about is Sleepwalker but at the same time, I'm happy she included it (plus AG an Stars In Your Heart - I LOVE, Love, love Stars In Your Heart) so we have the full picture with all the new and previously released tracks 1
RobDeWittBukater Posted June 1 Posted June 1 (edited) The title track, Jenny's Got a Boyfriend, Show You Mine, I Wanna Call You, Rewind Your Heart... immaculate pop gold 'Electric Heaven' and 'Worst in Me' would have made killer additions to Selena Gomez' When the Sun Goes Down album. They got that metallic purple 'Whiplash' energy to them Edited June 1 by RobDeWittBukater
Nectarine Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I wasn't expecting some excellent Grammy worthy album from this, but I'm still pleasantly surprised! Love that she circled back to DGMGF and gave it a rework + feature because it's probably the best from the album, in my opinion.
Burqa Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Just a Kiss might be her best song ever? it gives me strong Bombastic EP vibes, such a gorgeous song 2

There's an article that was released just this week where its said that it was the last song on the album. Idk why she decided to change so late in the process. I have a very vague memory of her saying that she wanted to save Outlaw for another project, but I could be mixing it up with another outtake from this album. Love Spell is the best song she's ever written what's wrong with her 2
AlfonsoVM Posted June 1 Posted June 1 My top 3 is: Rewind Your Heart Just A Kiss Forever 21, what a bop
collin Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I love this. It does feel a bit long. To me, Just A Kiss, Snatched, Worst In Me and Show You Mine didn't need to be here. A rock solid 12 tracks with no skips would have been great. However, the extra songs feel necessary after this long wait so I totally get it and it seems that there's something for everyone here.

XtinaStripped Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Can someone explain why they think "I wanna call you" is ruined? From someone that never really played the demo, the final is much better. 1 1

From someone that never really played the demo, the final is much better. The demo has a bassy, pumped up Vengabus type vibe to it and the final is just a very different energy. It's also very of its time, it has very strong 2012 notes. I like both— honestly think I prefer the demo but that version wouldn't have really fit here very well, the final makes a lot more sense in the context of the album so I think it works well. 1
rafael-abc Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Just me or the second part of the album is considerable weaker than the first one?
GardenPanty Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Love Spell is not a good song and I would prefer it stay far away from this perfection 1
Kintsugi Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Love Spell is horrible, we don't need more generic dated ballads in this near skipless AOTY, Stars was more than enough
