Galah Posted May 30 Posted May 30 "Forever 21" yas it hits just as hard as I remember the demo hitting scalp me Bonnie
Galah Posted May 30 Posted May 30 It annoys me that "SLAY" isn't correctly capitalised on the album track list, yet is on the single... plus I thought the original version was stylized like S*L*A*Y or S.L.A.Y. or something? 1

Delirious Posted May 30 Posted May 30 (edited) rewind your heart so good whats with that random final chorus instrumental with the distracting violins.... the beginning doesnt sound like her voice tho Edited May 30 by Delirious
Galah Posted May 30 Posted May 30 on the penultimate track rn but I'll write a quick summary of everything I can't believe this album is finally here. I could cry. She deserves the world. I hope something randomly goes viral on TikTok for her and she finally has a cute moment. I know she wants it so bad. 2
kos1692 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 She needs to keep trying on Tiktok, each song of the album could go viral!
Galah Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Don't Get Mad Get Famous - It's definitely an improvement over the insulting 1:20 version we got last year, but... I almost would have preferred that over this random feature if she was going to use it as an album intro track anyway? 1:20 makes sense in the context of an album intro, just not in the context of a single when we only got a new song from her every few months... anyway idk why she acted like it was so hard to finish this song. The added bridge is a super slay at least Hot City - Always loved this song, one of the strongest demos, an amazing choice for the title track, the final version is perfection (the demo slayed anyway but this lived up to it)... no complains yuh Jenny's Got a Boyfriend - One of the weaker demos (imo) but this final version super slayed me, all the fun additional production elements just took it to the next LEVEL, such a bop Show You Mine - The almost Daft Punk influences, I feel like I'm in a Tron universe arcade game or something... this is SUCH a smash and would have absolutely demolished the charts in the 2010s... period I Wanna Call You - One of my early favourite songs from when she performed it live... also one of my fave demos from the l-word... this version is just not it. Sounds like a Kidz Bop cover or something idk American Girl - It's THEE American Girl, how can you not live for this song. I do love the demo with the extended second verse and lowkey hoped that would make this cut, but I get why she did what she did. Forever 21 - THEE demo smasha, literally the strongest demo from the l-word imo and she didn't ruin it, I could cry. Of course there's subtle differences, but this is really solid. Love love love love love love love. Slay - This song is cute. I can lowkey see why Epic canned its single release tho given there are so many better songs, but empowerment mantras were in. I hate the "firebirds" lyric change. That's all I have to say. Electric Heaven - I kinda hate the intro of this song and always have ijbol. But, from the 15-second mark onwards this is such a pop perfection. Literally such a strong pop song. Chorus hits so hard. Eargasm. Worst in Me - The demo for this song is soooo 2009'd and so I was always hesitant about this being included as part of this project, but this final version is such a slay. They definitely made it feel less late-2000s'd. Snatched - This song is kind of a mess... but in a good way? Like it's kind of almost experimental for Bonnie. It's very ballroom and cunty. I don't know if I love it for this project honestly, but it's fun. Feature is okay. Sleepwalker - A lot of people are gonna be mad at this making the cut over another new song, but I'm personally not. I LOVE this song. A Halloween staple in my house. Takes me right back to 2013. Such a banger. Just a Kiss - I can see myself nicknaming this "Just a Skip" Anna Ou- like honestly this song isn't that bad but it's such a weird tempo for this album. I kinda get what she was aiming for, but it doesn't work for me. Rewind Your Heart - This was one of my faves from the l-words, and it was sounding so promising until the vocals came in... something's off. It's still cute tho. I like the additional production elements too. Very DSN'd. Everything but You - Jesus, how many mixes/variants does this song have now? I think I've heard at least four. This one isn't my favourite. It's still cute tho. (2) Don't like the lyric tweaks. Honestly kinda a let down. Stars in Your Heart - This is such a gorgeous song, but it does not fit this album whatsoever and I've always been worried about its potential inclusion for that reason. It works in a Japanese bonus track kinda way. 2
