1989 Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 There is probably a discussion to be had about both’s longevity, but that is where their similarities end. Come On Over produced multiple country/pop classics; Lover’s best single has just been released nearly four years later. I’m somewhat of a Lover apologist, but that’s mostly because I believe CS and DBATC are two of her best songs. Lover as a whole simply cannot measure up to Come On Over in nearly any way, though.
