Eras tour will be bigger than any Michael Jackson and Madonna tour… the stupidity of that user by insinuating Taylor is bigger than them according to his very limited and challenged logic. Can someone hook him up with a therapist asap?

There are multiple pages of that. Poor @Monster Queen will have to go each and every page to quote those.

I think this thread should be closed.

Wonder if you’d be saying this if the poll results weren’t so close

right… but the fact that her tour is causing such a frenzy is something that hasn’t been seen since MJ / The Beatles

There really has not been a more in demand tour than the eras tour in decades... the only one that comes even close might be Adele's 25 tour and even still she was only doing arenas in the US. Taylor could fill a stadium on 10 consecutive nights in each market right now and still have demand to spare.

Not when it comes to Britney since jive purposely omitted single releases after her first single not to mention her relationship with radio until FF

and touring during her peak: for some reason she didn’t tour Europe in 2002 and in 2004 that tour only made it half way

🤷‍♀️

Interesting that you offer qualifiers for Brit but not Taylor :gaycatina1:

Like?

i mean i don’t follow her career but it seems she’s been able excel in like every metric numbers wise.

i will say while yes physical sales are dead but people never seem to mention how the endless of replays we did on CDs didn’t count towards artists’ numbers as they do now for streaming

15 thousand streams are 1 cd sale. Please.

Good. That seems fair to me as it’s 15k times easier, faster and cheaper to consume music. Not to mention artists today are still able to stomp without sales

You offer Brit asterisks and context for supposed fallbacks but do not accept any for Taylor. Like, we’ve established your position as a troll so I’m not expecting much to begin with but at least tidy up your act :gayorkcat2:

maybe taylor with 1989.

2014-2015. she was really everywhere, then.

not quite the same with midnights, which is a great album but not omnipresent.

I’m genuinely asking you what asterisks or fallbacks does taylor have? im not a fan so I’m not familiar

as a britney fan I’m a messenger. Those things factually happened and I’m only informing others as I don’t expect them to know. For instance when I first started getting into her stats around the circus era, it baffled me why she didn’t have a #1 since bomt or why her immense career didn’t translate into those metrics. That’s why I looked into it and found the reasons that explained why

Shouldn't your fan base be the least prone to make fun of mental illnesses? :flower:

i think these comparisons always end up being very biased and subjective. they involve two distinct periods (although not so far apart) in terms of 'culture.' not everything is consumed today in the same way as it was before, and in these cases, nostalgia always speaks louder. anything someone says will be influenced by personal taste or nostalgia. having said that: taylor

With the information we just got about 1989 TV's success and the success of the Eras Tour movie, does anyone want to change their mind?
