If Taylor was as big as her streams are, why aren’t her albums selling like these Z-listers? The sales don’t match the streams.

I guess all western artists are frauds because their sales match their streams even less than Taylor.

Can you stop with the conspiracy theories?

Taylor will never touch 20M units in a year and has never come close. Quit trying to inflate her stats with unfiltered Spotify streams and payola’d Discovery Mode streams. If we’re going to include fake numbers for her, then maybe we should start including illegal downloads and merchandise sales (i.e. CDs packed in with items, HitClips, etc.) for other artists. Why cheat for your fave and not for everyone else’s?

The last time you tried to disprove me about Chinese numbers being faked, the Chinese government stepped in and introduced new laws because they acknowledged the numbers were fake, even when you were trying to hold on to them for dear life. Now you’re trying to pretend that every stream is legitimate when studies are coming out showing at least 34-104 billion streams a year are illegitimate. Even Spotify has joined the Music Fights Fraud coalition because they’re tired of labels and certain fanbases faking streams :lmao:

If Taylor was as big as her streams are, why aren’t her albums selling like these Z-listers? The sales don’t match the streams.

Can you go ahead and post her filtered Spotify numbers? I don’t think anyone is genuinely stupid enough to use unfiltered platform numbers and pretend like they’re all legitimate.

Do you ever get tired of lying, gaslighting and using data from the Clinton Administration in your arguments?

Are you expecting Taylor to sell like 10M pure? :deadbanana2: I know you Britney fans live in the late 90s, but here in 2023, NOBODY is doing that. Midnights is the only album of the 20s to sell 2M pure in the US (although there might be 1 other... folklore). Nobody buys albums anymore. We are in the streaming era. And there is no artist bigger in streaming than Taylor Swift :toofunny3:

Why do you always post dumb thread like this? :rip: Damn

Taylor has one of the highest ratios of filtered/unfiltered streams, even on her album debut day less than 1% of streams were filtered. Taylor's Chinese sales are not fake, Chinese law aims to limit those crazy K-pop fans who buy an album 20 times, but this doesn't mean the album is not got sold before this law. The truth this, after the law, Taylor even enlarges her advantage there cause she becomes the best-selling foreign artist from the best-selling Western artist. Midnights is year-end #2 there only after Jay Chou's new album. Taylor Swift is the most streamed artist on Spotify every day, and she is not even the most playlisting female artist on Spotify rn, and why each time I saw you you mention those "Discovery Mode" that nobody knows as if any people in real life know her music through this thing, this is just...stupid.

No words. Go out and touch some grass, this is probably one of the most stupid take I've seen in long time period

I didn't even know how to reply tbh, literally every single word out your month shows you're really ignorant about the sales, streaming, chart, or everything related to the music industry. Or you can call IFPI and ask them why Taylor Swift is the first artist to win the Top Artist award for 3 years (and fhe fourth year for 2023 is on lock), they might give your some lesson

I think it's better to ignore Eternium honestly, he's one of the most deluded Britney stans on here. Literally stuck in the 90s :rip:

There's no such a thing as unfiltered and filtered Spotify numbers. That's only a thing for debut day :deadbanana2:

Taylor IS moving 20m units this year. You want it or not.

Taylor moved 22.4M units in 2022 according to Sir Lucian Grainge himself :rip: Sorry if sane people would rather trust the CEO and Chairman of Universal Music Group over the infamous bitter conspiracy theorist and ATRL user Eternium...? :deadbanana2:

"The sales don't match the stream" because we're in 2023 and pure sales for western artists constitute a dead format (and despite that, Taylor is #1 by far for pure sales for western artists). Jesus, get with the program and stop living 2 decades behind. Clinging to pure sales doesn't help your case whatsoever, it just reinforces all the stereotypes people have about Britney stans not being able to move on and accept that their golden age is over.

As for these "Z-listers", it's already been explained to you that K-Pop/J-Pop artists almost completely rely on pure sales to succeed. It's engrained in K-Pop culture to buy and collect physical albums (even if thousands upon thousands of them end up in the trash after collecting the photocards), while western music culture moved away from pure sales and now relies on streams. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Mind you, even in Korea those nugu groups who manage to sell millions of pure sales are completely unknown by the GP. Maybe ask yourself why you're using these acts that struggle to even get a few hundred thousand unique listeners in Korea, or chart a song in the top 50 for even a week, as standards for what an artist should be doing :rip: Pure sales are for the most part IRRELEVANT.

Accept it already and quit sounding like a dinosaur :deadvision:

“Units”… :bibliahh:

how embarrassing to compare quick little streams to gather “units” to a pop music legend like Britney Spears who has sold almost 100 million full physical albums where people actually had to go pick up a Britney album from the store like Taylor Swift did herself.

Literally what are you trying to prove with this? That Taylor likes Britney? I'm sure she does since she was among her target audience in the late 90s :rip:

This thread is about whose peak was bigger, not about if they like each other

OK? say this to anyone who debut after 2005 and they will call you hag :bibliahh:

Needless to say Taylor Swift will earn more money from the Eras tour than Brintey's entire music career, crying baby

how embarrassing to compare quick little physical albums to gather “sales” to a pop music legend like Taylor Swift who is on the biggest tour ever where people actually had to go pick up a tickets (and most of them failed) from the website, Brintey wish she can snatch a ticket but she couldn't, like most of the people

OK, so Taylor Swift's the Eras tour which happened in 2023 is bigger than Britney's entire music career, not just Britney in 1999-2000, clear?

Do you even understand the word "peak"!!! Compare those two peaks, Britney was definitely bigger than Taylor. The Music Industry

they probably do. Notice of these chart stans in this thread seem to be share holders but in reality they’re spending obscene amounts of cash on her

and people using this as an angle for their argument are either 12 or stupid. Ticket prices were like $40 in Britney’s peak and albums were $20 ($36 2023 adjusted)

Are y'all really going to keep arguing over 10 other pages? :rip:

I think the pool really shows the reality of the situation, which is that their peaks are pretty even.

I'm bursting out, cause when we both talking about charts, the Brintey stan talking about physical sales, and Taylor stan talking about streams and tour, only swifties is "chart stans"? We give you some proof to show you why Taylor is bigger, and you can't argue, then say we're "chart stan"? Isn't providing chart data much more objective than Britney stan's personal delusion? Is this a new way to admit the loss?

And why you mentioned ticket prices? You can use the tour attendance to compare and the result will be the same, and how dare you to mention albums price, do you know how many vinyls Taylor sold last year? :bibliahh:

Not when it comes to Britney since jive purposely omitted single releases after her first single not to mention her relationship with radio until FF

and touring during her peak: for some reason she didn’t tour Europe in 2002 and in 2004 that tour only made it half way

its ok if you don’t know that if you’re not a Britney stan. What you should know is charts are not “objective proof” lol if you truly believe that then anything you say has 0 credibility and or you should take the time to learn that given you’re in a forum like this
