Surprisingly I agree. Minus some stuff on oops and britney are still gems and sound amazing today

Some Britney stans in particular are always responding to EVERY. SINGLE. POST in threads like this, they always have to argue and have the last word on everything

Hard to say! Britney 1999-2000, Gaga 2009-2011, Taylor 2022-2023, are probably the biggest Pop Girl eras of the late 90s up until today in terms of Mega Star status, selling power, and cultural impact. It's hard to pick the biggest from those 3 honestly.

Britney reached every continent and is culturally relevant. I travelled to three different continents during that time and her influence was incredible. In the deep street markets of Asia there were posters of her everywhere, the same thing in Australia, mid east and not to mention Europe and the U.S.

Taylor will probably turn into the biggest white female singer ever but Britney peak was higher even if she doesnt have the tour thing. Britney was a cultural phenomenon. Same as Gaga. Taylor feels more like a slowly buildup to success.

Huh...? I'm guessing you're talking about pure sales only (how fitting for a Britney stan living in the past), but in the real world, Taylor will move more units this year alone than Stray Kids' entire discography units combined since they debuted in 2017. Goodness, get some self-awareness.

Taylor will never touch 20M units in a year and has never come close. Quit trying to inflate her stats with unfiltered Spotify streams and payola’d Discovery Mode streams. If we’re going to include fake numbers for her, then maybe we should start including illegal downloads and merchandise sales (i.e. CDs packed in with items, HitClips, etc.) for other artists. Why cheat for your fave and not for everyone else’s? 

 

The last time you tried to disprove me about Chinese numbers being faked, the Chinese government stepped in and introduced new laws because they acknowledged the numbers were fake, even when you were trying to hold on to them for dear life. Now you’re trying to pretend that every stream is legitimate when studies are coming out showing at least 34-104 billion streams a year are illegitimate. Even Spotify has joined the Music Fights Fraud coalition because they’re tired of labels and certain fanbases faking streams  

 

If Taylor was as big as her streams are, why aren’t her albums selling like these Z-listers? The sales don’t match the streams.

You can check if you want but there's no bog difference between Taylor filtered and unfiltered streams on Spotify.

She is not BTS
