DamianSolo Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 I need my favorite heroes to be out from under Warner Bros. I hate Warner Bros......so much.
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted June 25, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 25, 2023 Why would anyone buy a ticket to watch Ezra after everything they've done? Also I don't understand the appeal of any superhero movies at this point, the plots are all basically the same just with different character names 1 1
XAMJ Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 james gunn's DCU reboot is dead before it even started

They're realizing that they're all basically the same and will pop up on streaming soon after coming out. Studios churning out passable Mcmovies with some nostalgia bait thrown in isn't cutting it anymore. 2
Blue Rose Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 (edited) This is wild. Flash was my favorite superhero growing up and I couldn’t be bothered to go see this. DC you will crumble at least we have the first 2 seasons of the CW series (the other seasons kinda dragged) Edited June 25, 2023 by Blue Rose

I think there are a lot of people out there who are honestly unaware of Ezra's actions. Like my dad talked about wanting to see this (he won't because ticket prices are expensive and he usually falls asleep in movie theaters anymore, lol), and I'm pretty sure he doesn't know who Ezra Miller even is. He just likes superhero movies. Though he's also starting to think superhero movies in general have been beaten into the ground. The oversaturation of superhero movies is probably playing the biggest role in the poor numbers. People are tiring of them as a whole, aside from exceptions like Spiderverse and GOTG, which had really well-established franchises going in. DC doesn't really have that establishment, and what they do have established generally have poor reputations.

ATRL Moderator supaspaz Posted June 25, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 25, 2023 This is so embarrassing. Between this and the Shazam sequel, maybe a problematic star really can sink a movie, even about a superhero.
leyaris11 Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 The drop even worst than Shazam 2. I thought everyone loves it from the trailer.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 (edited) Guardians about to hit $850M Spiderverse just passed $560M Flash: will struggle to hit $250M💀 it’s not superhero fatigue, it over saturation and no one cares about DC. There are definitely large parts of the general public that is over superheroes but at least MCU still has a strong fanbase that shows up and watches most of the Disney+ shows. DC CW tv shows are the butt of every joke, HBO Max series are even more irrelevant, and the films have had 7 back to back box office flops in this universe. 💀 Spoiler Over saturated is a better term then Fatigue. There is just too much content. Literally every month there is a new superhero movie or tv show. Back to back for the last 4 years straight. It’s why marvel needs to space things out so there is only like 3 projects a year. Last year there was 17 comicbook shows and movies on at the same time💀 DC can only milk Batman for so long before it too starts to lose viewers. Even with the massive marketing push and campaign with Keaton. This still flop. The flash probably would have done wonder women 1 numbers if it was dropped back in 2018. But in 2023 DCEU is dead Edited June 25, 2023 by Gorjesspazze9
Europe Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 The next one (Blue Beetle) isn't going to do better either

Pink Ranger Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Not marvels biggest flop (outside of the pandemic) ANTMANs first week BO being the likely entire RUN of flash in the US 2 1
