Yeah that's on them for the way that they sloppy and unnecessarily released two different versions. They should get rid of the edit and only have the album version be the sole version that exists. Push and promote that.

She needs to link up with Joel Corry, Jax Jones, Marshmello, David Guetta to score herself some more hits. We need radio back on board and hopefully streams will follow.

Please no. Ritual was a bop but she needs to stay as far away from those generic DJ collabs as possible. She's better than that and if she gets a hit or two I worry she might just go down that rabbithole altogether. If she's gonna go down the dance route I want something in the vein of Bang, which was both great and also distinct enough from the female DJ collabs that Becky Hill etc. tack themselves onto. If she's gonna do DJ collabs, something distinctive like Miracle would work well.

Realistically, it's over for Rita commercially which is okay, someone who has only released 2 albums in a decade shouldn't have lasted the way she did. If the album is a more well-rounded and heartfelt project like reviews are suggesting and she gets some critical praise, then perhaps she could get another hit or two if she drops another album next year and doesn't wait around (which is also what seems to be hinted at here)

After bopping to this for a few days I couldn’t help but feel there was something familiar about this banger, and then I realised it reminded me of this;

The way that a Raye penned bop would do wonders for her

Considering Ritual is one of her best along with Lonely Together along You For Me if it ain't broke don't fix it. Again she's more of a singles artist and gp darling and on a smaller label. She can use all the support that she can get especially since she won't be provided with the same backing because she's on BMG. It's a necessary compromise we're gonna have to make if we want her back on radio, main stage shows and to be able to successfully tour. It's something that can offer to us on the side and will help her own music that she leads with. Bang was so great, it sucks that it was meant to be originally released as an album but turned into an EP obviously because of previous underperformances and her and Warner/Atlantic going there separate ways but that's neither here nor there. Becky Hill can easily write her a bop and since her and Calvin are on good terms a collab between the 2 of them shouldn't be out of the question.

In terms of Rita's commercials success it's not set in stone for certain because look at Kylie Minogue getting her biggest hit in over a decade after doing this since the 80s, anything is possible in this climate so don't count Rita out just yet.

Oh Rita I'm, rooting for you girl. The real RitaBots ain't going nowhere 💯 😌 ♥

This wasn't meant to be a diss but Rita always seemed like a part-time singer due to her multiple business ventures in other avenues. It's not that I don't like Rita, it's just that she always abandons the remainder of her 10 stans after each album cycle for 3-ish years and the quality is never worth following up on lol.

Ventures that she had to do in order to sustain her lifestyle and career in this industry. Her music schedule release was never her fault and she's always been vocal about that because her fans frustration was also her frustrations.

Everyone knows Roc Nation blocked her from releasing the second album thanks to Calvin drama and Atlantic kept delaying Phoenix because they waited for bigger hits to happen. The problem is/was never Rita because when she has the chance she releases music. You sound bitter as well.

Exactly this girl has only tried doing literally a little bit of everything just to always ensure that we were being fed if that isn't mother behavior then idk what is.

maybe the albanian mafia ties conspiracy theories are true :omg:

She's done nothing but serve for about a decade so why wouldn't she have fans?

She was in the studio with jimmy napes sometime ago hopefully it’s something like this

That would be glorious. We just waiting on her Sean Paul collab and for Gryffin to drop their collab No Peekin and we set for our hit droplet era.

Exactly. I’m over people acting like it’s her fault when it’s not. All her career she’s being treated unfairly and she still managed to be as successful as she is because literally everyone in the industry talks about how hardworking she is. Compared to her UK peers she’s doing way better because while she wasn’t able to release music she hustled hard to keep her name out there and it worked. Even if people don’t really say nice things about her (mostly online) at least they talk about her all the time and whether anyone likes to admit it or not it’s a sign of relevancy

Especially when she's always been transparent when it comes to her life. Exactly if theirs one thing that's not up for debate is her celebrity status.

Yeah a Calvin and Rita collab would never happen, but a Jax Jones collab would be a good move for her

Never say never. Disclosure, Silk City, Mark Ronson and Joel Corry would be a nice fit for Rita

Honestly it feels more so like she’s not getting a push anymore because there’s no label backing

Exactly that's her only obstacle this era which affects playlisting and streaming

if she's already working on album #4 then she better release it on a major label cuz this kind of non-existent playlisting is frustrating af.

can't wait for the album to finally drop :duca: just in time for my Summer vacay! ahhh
