I got a different approach listening to the sampler. I feel like she went a little further with her 70s/80s references and created an even more soul/quiet-storm oriented record, which is amazing for her growth.

Hm. The snippets didn't gag me  but I'll wait until I hear the album to truly judge. 

 

I have always loved Vic's retro influences and how she could make it her own but some of these sound a little too 'on the nose'. 

 

My fave from the snippets is definitely I'm The One.
