Christian-Owned Business Can Discriminate Against LGBTQ+ People: Court

A federal appeals court has ruled that a Christian health center is exempt from a federal law that prohibits employers from discriminating based on sexual orientation and gender identity. The New Orleans-based 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued a unanimous decision on Tuesday regarding Braidwood Management, which operates an alternative wellness center in Texas. The three-judge panel stated that the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) cannot sue Braidwood over its policy of terminating employees who engage in gay or gender non-conforming conduct.

The three-judge panel consisted of Circuit Judges Edith Clement, Cory Wilson, and Jerry Smith, all of whom were appointed by Republican presidents. Circuit Judge Jerry Smith wrote that without being exempted, Braidwood would be made to "comply wholeheartedly" with policies it deems as "sinful," Reuters reports. This decision upheld a ruling by U.S. District Judge Reed O'Connor in Fort Worth, Texas.

Christianity has always been a pure reason of hate :skull:

Like the main character of that religion was the extreme opposite of what Christians are :skull:

Creating laws to discriminate innocent people?

That religion and islam are pure mental illness

In April 2022, Hotze was charged with two felonies related to a bizarre 2020 “voter fraud search” incident.

Hotze left a voice mail for Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, telling him to “shoot to kill” Black Lives Matter activists.

Hotze has compared gays to “communist termites” eating away at America’s moral fabric. He is also fond of declaring that it’s now a hate crime to denounce homosexuality.

Hotze bankrolled the successful campaign to repeal Houston’s “wicked, evil, Satanic” LGBT rights ordinance, during which he compared gays to rapists and murderers.

According to Hotze, same-sex marriage will result in children “practicing sodomy” in kindergarten.

In 2017, Hotze “prophesied” that God will deliver “just retribution” to lawmakers who vote for LGBT rights.

Hotze sells “miracle” supplements because high cholesterol doesn’t really cause heart disease.

Hotze regularly quotes QAnon slogans.

They spend more time scheming of ways to discriminate against gay people than they do praying, reading the bible, going to church... Like we are their religion at this point

And on the 5th day God said, “let there be hate” and Christians have been good stewards of this calling ever since.

Using “sinful” as justification for making a legal judgement should warrant immediate removal from said position.

Do Christians in 2023 even read the Bible?

Because the concept of a Christian health center that costs money and discriminates is like rain on your wedding day.

why would we go to a christian-owned business? :rip:

The Bible is pro-slavery so I wouldn't place much moral weight on it.

I’m okay with this.  I’m not a hypocrite.  I’d deny Trump supporters to my business.
