dejmieeen Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 But someone here said that it’s getting „raw reviews” and the Queen of Cinema is back? Was it all a lie?

zasderfght Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 A 58% is hardly "panned." It's 2 percentages away from being "fresh" on RT, which is a 60%. Also, it only has 31 reviews. Let's wait until we're at 100+ reviews. As for MC, a 48 means mostly mixed reviews. And again, we're only at 15 reviews. Let's wait until we're closer to 50+ reviews. Mostly mixed reviews does not mean panned. This site does the most. 2 1

sweetblindness Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 This is one of those times where it's probably ok to not trust the critics, as opposed to the times when Marvel/DC fanboys insist that critics are wrong when they malign superhero films. This movie looks like a dumb raunchy comedy and I have pretty good expectations as to what I'll get when I go see it. As long as I laugh and enjoy myself for the runtime, it will have been worth it.
Sazare Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 A friend of mine saw it yesterday and said it was great. Have we considered the possibility that the critics might just be pressed?
Smarticle Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 It never looked that great anyways just a fun movie for entertainment
Khal Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 It’s not like romcoms are noted for their acclaim. Some of the iconic ones have had mid to bad reviews. Let’s see how the audience score and box office turn out. 1

ccfan007 Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Don't most if not all romcoms get bad critic reviews? who cares, it's probably going to be a lot of fun. I will be sat either way.
EnigmaticAndroid Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Eh, romcoms are relatively immune to reviews. Audience reactions and interest matter much more for this kind of film.

Movies typically receive 50+ reviews on Metacritic. If an album has 15 reviews, that's a bit of a different story considering album reviews usually hover between 20-30 reviews.
WERKER Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 I'm looking forward to watching this.. most excited I've been for a romcom in years!
Pink Ranger Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Romcoms notoriously have bad critic scores, some of the best romcoms of the 2000nds are panned by critics but audiences love them
UnusualBoy Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Do romcoms ever get good reviews? I'm watching this regardless.

Johnny Jacobs Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 It's mixed not panned.. Are you that oblivious? Who cares about critics when it comes to comedies especially? I will be watching
intheneonlights Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 And already up to 61%, how is that panned? 2
