WEEKND Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Don’t they have sonar and radar? Why can’t they find this submarine quickly

I was guessing too for them to disappear like that but it’s the least possible sign. Is that they simply got attacked by a giant sea beast/monster. Like a giant squid or shark. Honestly it could have just gotten stuck on something

Eat The Acid Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Imagine being stuck in that tiny small space at the bottom of the ocean? This is crazy

ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted June 20, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 20, 2023 I wonder if the orcas had any part in this 1 2
Joyride Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 sounds like they were trying to get rid of someone tbh
Johnny Jacobs Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 They'll find them when it's too late its so sad
airplane Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 an MH 370 tea. Hope they find it before it’s too late

OT: Really sad situation, it’s lookin pretty grim at the moment, not only is there the oxygen aspect that has to be considered, but the immense pressure at those depths below the sea, this is crazy actually and hopefully they are found and retrieved

Why can’t they find this submarine quickly "Communicating through water is very different than communicating through air as water rapidly blocks the propagation of electromagnetic waves, Fusil explained, meaning rescuers have “no radar, no GPS” and no spotlight or laser beams beyond “a few meters.” While sonar, which uses sound waves to locate or communicate through water, is an option for locating the missing sub, Pringle said a “specialized” technique using a “very narrow beam” would be needed to determine the position of such a small sub at this depth, a process that could take far longer than rescuers have." https://www.forbes.com/sites/roberthart/2023/06/20/no-radar-no-gps-heres-why-underwater-search-and-rescue-missions-are-so-tough/
Sawk Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 imagine being 3 miles below the ocean in a tiny cramped metal container along with other people and suddenly y’all stop being able to move and the light outside the window keeps disappearing as the ship keeps sinking down and down and you fall into complete darkness

WildAmerican Posted June 20, 2023 Author Posted June 20, 2023 (edited) this is also probably like the worst way possible to die. One, knowing for like days that you're going to die and two the pressure down there... ya it's badddddddd. Edited June 20, 2023 by WildAmerican
