Missing Titanic Submarine Megathread | All Passengers Presumed Dead

In short, the body is reduced to fish food, since not much of the hull remains unless it’s a section already flooded. Implosion events occur within milliseconds, at speeds approaching Mach 3 and far too quickly for the human brain to comprehend. Now, imagine the same thing, only with an aircraft capable of that speed hitting a mountain at Mach 3. Similar.

It’s important to remember that our bodies are mostly water anyway, so in an implosion event, there’s not much solid matter left anyway.

that's so sad :cries: at least they didn't die a painful death

People making fun of people dying just because they were rich :rip: Terrible.

it's very common nowadays :dancehall: social media really killed people's empathy, everything is turned into a joke and a meme

Direct that anger at the government who actually should be taking care of those problems (including taxing the people on the submarine). It takes nothing to feel empathy for people slowly suffocating, including someone who brought their teenage child with them.

As for your bolded point, the power of empathy is that you can feel it for multiple instances and situations, one day I hope you find the maturity to realize that

Who spends millions of dollars on lobbying governments?

RIP to them. It was probably the best outcome, as they knew and felt nothing until they were simply... gone. God the ocean is so scary, we need to be more appreciate of what we already have.

Any life is a life that's worth saving, no matter their financial status. That said, I can't help but keep thinking about the 750+ refugees who drowned last week and no one batted an eye. The whole ordeal has been very eyeopening. (1) Get the **** away from the ocean and (2) your worth really is = your financial status. Kinda sad but that is the real world.

Yes, it’s sad that media didnt mention anything about hundred of poor people dying but they made an entire drama about 5 billionaires. IT’S DISGUSTING. Im so angry because most of us didnt even know what happened last week with refugees.

By the amount of people acting entitled to not feeling any type of way over people dying in what is a potentially horrifying manner you'd think criminals or social outcasts were on that submarine but nope - just a bunch of rich, naive men. I hope the utter lack of empathy is just forced pretence cause if not :rip:

The fact I only know about this story is because of Memes flooding my timeline:deadbanana4:

I had to look up what was really going on. That kinda shows you the state of Twitter and people online in general

From the damage , it definitely imploded due to the pressurization failing which would killed them even before they knew anything was wrong .

I hope this teaches other billionaires to stick to their foie gras instead of doing this kind of shenanigans.

Okay, so it definitely imploded. Good lord, let this be a lesson to other ultra wealthy who seek these types of experiences.

I mean, billionaires or not, some types of people are always going to be looking for 'extreme' experiences only to brag about it later and get attention and feed their egos. Being wealthy just makes it easier for them to look for this experiences, they're already set for life so they just go like 'why not?'

The whole comparing to refugees and poor people is stupid. The interest in the story is because it’s “will they/won’t they” find them in time and it’s related to Titanic, which is always a huge story. The way people think people only care because it’s rich people. Was everyone rich on MH370? Yet we were all glued to that story.

May they rest in peace but hope their mistakes serve as a lesson for other people to not do this.

As morbid as this sounds, I was a bit relieved when I found out this morning that the submarine imploded and they didn't slowly suffocate to death. I had a feeling they weren't going to survive so all we could hope for was that their death was quick and painless and not slow and excruciating.

I agree. These types of extraordinary survival disaster stories always make headlines regardless of the people involved, other examples are the Thai cave rescue and the Chile mining incident.

People laughing about five tragic deaths while being just wanted to fulfill a dream of seeing the Titanic.

Empathy is free.
