"the core reason why people are in this site is because they like music/art, not because it’s made by billionaires"

Same thing applies here. People are empathizing with how a couple people in a constrained space went through a tragic event and died in the depths of the ocean. Imagine yourself in that scenario. Nobody focused on their social status until you brought your frustrations forward. Having money doesn't make you any less human. Empathizing with someone's death doesn't make you take on their beliefs.

You got a lot of venom to spit and the highest standards for everyone. People can't express some humanity because.. someone's fighting for food somewhere in the world?

They paid 250k each for that. Knowing full well the risk list was longer and greater  than our monthly food budgets.

Spare everybody this utter nonsense..

the submarine going to depths of the ocean was controlled by a playstation controller. Lol

They fired an expert captain and replaced with a young man - With barely any/to no experience. Even with experience its a deadly mission

those checks could of solved villages of peoples problems. Instead they all died. Money wasted. Not to mention cost of the submarine itself - Inflation just went up and they gaslighting the **** out of everybody.

spare me. Im here for music. Not bullshit.

ps - the only reason we know about this is because its billionaires… anyone cry today for all the KIDS dead by man-made diseases/poverty/bombs/disaster

Imagine being a billionaire and multi-millionaire with all the luxury this world can provide you and STILL you’re not satisfied with life…:rip:

Then why are you here talking about billionaires?
You don't have to comment on everything, you know.

Stupidity needs to be addressed in 2023.

Well it's over, I hope at least we get to know what happened but if they haven't found it yet I doubt we will ever know

Direct that anger at the government who actually should be taking care of those problems (including taxing the people on the submarine). It takes nothing to feel empathy for people slowly suffocating, including someone who brought their teenage child with them.

As for your bolded point, the power of empathy is that you can feel it for multiple instances and situations, one day I hope you find the maturity to realize that

The power of my empathy is saved and directed towards actual victims of awful atrocities and all of ‘us’ without millions snd billions - who certainly wouldnt do anything so stupid and disrespectful as to visit and gawk at a gravesite that should be allowed to RIP 100’s of yrs later.

its the epitome of entitlement. Im done engaging now.

So does this count towards the official death toll of the titanic?

A part of the franchise spinoff I guess

MrBeast is already worth 500M according to Forbes, he will easily cross 1B. Others will get there eventually too

There are many YouTubers that have had 30-50M salaries for a quite a few years now

No one makes that amount of money just by uploading videos to YouTube, adsense doesn’t run that high

Mr Beast might also be a YouTuber but his big income streams are from other sources

And MrBeast has landholdings and stock that augment his wealth.

I can’t believe this happened in 2023. Everything about this feels like something you would have heard happening in like 2001.

And these people have outsized influence of said governments through bribes and lobbying so you can’t fault people for their callous indifference when they are disempowered in their daily lives as a consequence of the unchecked authority of billionaires.

Is this pic telling me that they dived down there to watch the Titatic via a screen? Like :psyduck: of that's true then I would prefer laying on my comfy bed, drinking a hot choc and watch Titatic's real documentary for free and saving 250k (not that I have this amount of money anyways)...

Most are speculating the ship imploded due to the pressure. So likely they died instantly.

I think more people should be holding the owners of the submarine whatever it is accountable. I kinda feel bad that this turned into such a meme :weeps:

I think the one main owner, and face of the company, is down there with them.

It's not just because they can though, most of them are dedicated explorers. If someone dies climbing Everest, is that karma?

I wouldn't say it's karma, just like I wouldn't say this submarine disaster is karma, per se. But I do have similar feelings about the Everest hikers and these things being human hubris. Once you get past a certain height on Everest you enter what's called the "Death Zone" where there is no life at all, because there's not enough oxygen, etc. Hikers cannot go further and stay alive without supplemental oxygen and other equipment. I feel bad for individuals upon hearing individual stories, but as a general feeling, I personally wish people would understand and accept that certain parts of Earth (and space) aren't meant for humans.

Even if they were found alive, it still could take days/weeks to get them out, for their sake it's better they're dead
