WildAmerican Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 (edited) 19 June: A submersible used to take people to view the wreck of the Titanic has gone missing in the Atlantic Ocean, sparking a search and rescue mission. The Boston Coastguard told the BBC on Monday that an operation to find it was under way. It is not clear how many people, if any, were on board at the time it went missing. Small submersibles occasionally take paying tourists and experts to view the wreck of the Titanic. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65953872.amp -- 20 June: The CEO of OceanGate Expeditions, Stockton Rush, is on board the missing submersible that vanished during a mission to explore the wreckage of the Titanic, the company said Tuesday. There's just 41 hours of oxygen supply left on the missing vessel, which is carrying five people, a U.S. Coast Guard official said Tuesday as the search for the Titan submersible continues. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/live-blog/titanic-missing-submersible-live-updates-rcna90103 Edited June 22, 2023 by WildAmerican

Mike91 Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Imagine it sinking to the bottom of the ocean in some random area, while you're still alive, and them never being able to find you.
Illuminati Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Will there be a future tour for this as well? I understand scientific exploration but making a business out of a massive tragedy like this doesn't sit well with me.

mystery Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 (edited) Not shocked at all, one video of a reporter showing off one of these submarines showcased how cheaply they are made. Hope all turns out well. It has a literal ******* joystick for controls... This is the video of the reporter. Edited June 19, 2023 by mystery
mystery Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 If they went missing at Titanic depth then they might as well be on the Moon when it comes to a chance of rescue.

Chances are, if a submarine is deep enough to not be found... water pressure already crushed it. Edited June 19, 2023 by Popboi.

FreeXone Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Isn’t the titanic basically almost totally gone now anyways? What was the reason?!
