ATRL Moderator feelslikeadream Posted April 30 ATRL Moderator Posted April 30 Loved this The way it was promoted as a love triangle with Zendaya at the center, when honestly it's actually about the relationship between the two men The ending payoff was so well done, the editing was great (I was never confused about the timeline, which is impressive given how often it jumped), the score ate, etc. I've had a massive crush on Josh since GOC, but he was somehow hotter than ever before in this. I actually want to break out in tears and pull my hair out when I think about how I'll never get the chance to taste his frenulum. 3 7

Sapphire Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I was aroused by Josh and Mike the bromance, the bed scene, the sauna scene, the churros scene, along with some shirtless, nipples, and armpits scenes who's jamming now?
zoldyck Posted April 30 Posted April 30 17 hours ago, Dark Phoenix said: Well that's a reality check; somehow neither of the 3 were a big explosion to bring the audiences to theaters, and let's not compare this with Saltburn because that was a Prime movie with a limited release worldwide and with a streaming date announced before the premiere. This one was a full on theater release with a worldwide promo tour and no release date on streaming announcement. Look at the demos and you will see the reason. Exactly, if boxoffice didn't matter for it they wouldn't have pushed it back from it original release date during strike. Wild Release and changing original date clearly shows they were expecting this movie to do numbers. 1
DUA LIPA Posted April 30 Posted April 30 this is one of the best films i've seen in a while i am absolutely OBSESSED playing the score on repeat since friday as well 1
Tangane Posted May 1 Posted May 1 The moment I still think about days later is when Patrick pulls the stool closer right before they eat their churros. I found it to be so sexy! 1

Also, Mike is such a good sounding bottom. You can't convince me he's straight, I'm sorry. Also, the way he looked at Zendaya a look that's only seen in Czech Hunter 2

Cherish Posted May 2 Posted May 2 My work was throwing away the display and I have the glasses waiting for me at work hopefully still this needs in theaters longer than 1 week IMAX
SimpleKindofLife Posted May 2 Posted May 2 That makeout scene was so ******* hot. If I was in the middle of them I wouldn't just be watching
toy soldier. Posted May 3 Posted May 3 I went to see it yesterday and I thought it was ok. I found the continuous flashbacks very distracting, I know the pace was meant to be like watching a tennis match, but it was done too often and sometimes the flashbacks dragged too much. Zendaya was really good, but was very hard to distinguish at the beginning when she was meant to be younger. The boys were fantastic and I loved the soundtrack. Cinematography was beautiful of course and I loved the way the matches were shot, but it did feel very bloated at some points. The story was just not compelling enough to justify the movie being 2hr 11m Overall a 3.5/5 for me.
Magickarp Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Loved this. One of my fave movies ever Luca knows how to make gay movies, that don't scream homosehshuh in your face. The music. The hug. The kiss. The chair. The churros. The final match's cinematography. I love Mike but Josh was def the star in terms of acting.
RadioactiveLights Posted May 4 Posted May 4 This is my favorite movie of the year so far. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross did a fantastic job with the score, the cinematography was so pretty, and the story was fun. Zendaya was amazing and incredibly hot. And the boys were great too---Mike Faist was so hot in this. My bisexual self is so fed. Now I wanna learn some tennis 1

Have zero hopes but I'll give it a try On 4/28/2024 at 7:03 PM, illia said: UPDATE: planning to watch it next weekend We'll see if I eat my words UPDATE 2: damn I really ate my words! I just got back from the cinema and the movie was fantastic! The acting game was top notch, particularly Josh O'Connor. All tennis match scenes felt very intense (especially the last one), and the score made me want to bop my legs and bite my nails at the same time due to the intensity of the scenes lol The cinematography was next level and some angles were INSANEEEE e.g. the POV of the tennis ball etc. Loved it loved it loved it! A very strong 8/10. Edited May 4 by illia 3
Johnny Jacobs Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Good movie but the hype is way to high It's a 7/10 i enjoyed it.
OrgVisual Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Love the cinematography but it's overhyped. The plot is decent but not mind-blowing. It's way too long and kinda irritating towards the end I see a lot of praises for the score. It's great but felt random in a lot of scenes, esp during conversations, I can barely hear what they said
RideOrDie Posted May 6 Posted May 6 this was cute af texted my **** buddy immediately after leaving the cinema zendaya the ally that you are 1
levi_valvi Posted May 6 Posted May 6 I'm so in love with this movie I watched it last night and my mind can't escape it. I kinda want to watch it in cinema again, but a little drunk this time. 1
levi_valvi Posted May 6 Posted May 6 I don't understand why people find the time jumps confusing? they literally tell you exactly where we jump to on screen. I found it to be done very well (if anything, it felt a little over-explained) 3
