Gov. Greg Abbott signed a bill Wednesday that would prohibit diversity, equity and inclusion offices in Texas public colleges and universities starting in 2024.

Both chambers of the Texas Legislature approved the final version in May of Senate Bill 17, which would ban public higher education institutions from maintaining or establishing DEI offices. It also prohibits higher education institutions from requiring anyone to provide DEI statements or participate in DEI training.

******* Texas. Abbott is a damn joke and quite frankly this and pretty much everything else he’s done need to be overturned. That whole state needs an overhaul.

Never said that. I live in NYC so I am well aware of liberal America. But look at the trends… what is becoming normal, accepted, etc. It’s not looking good.

There's a political theory that red states are trying to get as many people to move into them as possible to inflate their number of congressional districts within the House based on the census.

This is why justifying any amount of anti-woke rhetoric is dangerous. Bigotry and intolerance are evil and there is no compromise with them.
