VARIETY: Matthew Vaughn’s ‘Argylle’ Sets 2024 Theatrical Release Date

“Argylle,” a new globe-trotting spy adventure from director Matthew Vaughn, is coming to theaters in 2024.

The film, which is being produced by Apple Original Films and distributed by Universal Pictures, will land on the big screen on Feb. 2 before streaming on Apple TV+ on a later date.

It follows Henry Cavill as a super-spy whose job takes him across the U.S., London and other exotic locations. He plays a secret agent suffering from amnesia who is tricked into believing he’s a novelist. The star-studded cast also features Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose and Samuel L. Jackson.

2,5 years after it started filming :bibliahh:I wonder if Dua has recorded a song for this

FINALLY…

They took an age.

She should just follow Billie's path and release the soundtrack in August/September rather than clashing it with DL3 next year...

So this shouldn't interfere with DL3, then

Given the reports of Apple saying they didn’t know how to market the film and found some of the film choices weird I’m praying it’s at least decent… Vaughn’s recent output hasn’t been much to behold either so :michael:

having Dua Lipa, Cena and Cavill was enough marketing. The interest in this movie went from 0 to 100.

that release date is rough but at least Henry and Dua are in it and they look so good together, I’m interested because of that lol :celestial6:

Just went to the movie and it was fun! Not great but definitely a fun action movie with a couple twists😋

Very reminiscent of The King's Man style wise.

Saw this Thursday night and... well... It wasn't completely unenjoyable, but gosh that third act was exhausting. Really wanted something zippy but this just kept going. Performances were good though! Makes me upset that they got such talented actors and wasted a lot of potential with the script :michael:
