June Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Is it really necessary to bring troll tweets and stan wars to this thread? 3 1

QueenofCopyPaste Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Looks like it will fall to #2 after debut week until her airplay stabilizes Ughh, Last Night is pulling an Old Town Road
PopFan1996 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Apple Music US : 2 +2 Morgan Wallen - Last Night 3 -1 Olivia Rodrigo - vampire We're tired of that racist
BuzzCharts Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Hopefully she will pass him again tomorrow. America is blasting country on 4th of July parties. If she is still behind tomorrow then

Jude Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Hopefully the decrease ain't that much in tomorrow's update.
QueenofCopyPaste Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Quote I liked it after my first few listens last night but this morning, she truly arrived. What a song. The first verse gives Welcome to my Kitchen a bit but once she hits that chorus, I’m out of my seat for the rest of the song. I read somewhere that she described the song as “dynamic” and I couldn’t agree more. It starts off almost foreboding with that piano and then by the second verse when the beat kicks in, it’s less foreboding and more just full on melodramatic. By the time we get to the bridge (!!!) it feels like a pop opera to me. It’s showy, dramatic, angry, everything her second lead needed to be. It doesn’t deviate too far from Sour but it still pushes her in an interesting direction. And she sounds incredible, the weight behind her belt is crazy. I have full faith in her ability to deliver variety - Drivers License, Deja Vu, and Good 4 U all sounded different, so I know she’s more than capable of building on her sound further. I hope we get a similar singles run leading up the album like we did with Sour (which was a brilliantly done campaign). I can’t wait to hear more. Absolutely loved this comment 1
BuzzCharts Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 The collapse when she sings this live at the next Grammys

Starkboy Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Uhm todays update kinda ugly The other songs didn't decrease tons so 4th of July barely affected. It dropped some globally too

FolkLover1989 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Today drop only because of 4th July Otherwise super stable
chosensparkles Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 It was expected let’s see how it rises or holds

Last Night dropped less than 1% in the US. I'm glad she decided to sell physical vinyls and CDs, because those points will end up being very important this week.
