So is it clear by now this song won't be as big as DL or G4U? Maybe it can outlast them in longevity, but won't outpeak them.

I could see it having better longevity on the charts than DL.  Radio dropped DL very fast unfortunately which made its chart performance fall off.   I don't know how radio listeners will like vampire though.  I've heard it twice and it sounds great but im biased

I've seen some livies on twitter posting their copies, so I think they all went out already.

They don't count for the Hot 100 so it doesn't really matter

who cares if its not AS big as good 4 u or drivers license? its likely going #1 next week, which already means the era has a #1 hit and it is a great headstart to the new album.

probably because it seems unlikely that interscope will put on tiktok payola at the moment we ve been begging them to start promoting the song on there if they wanted to they easily could do some gimmick to make it viral idk?? good 4 u to me had the perfect timing it was summer she was the current it girl the song and mv were good and tiktok embraced it  if we dont have that in our hands then lets emulate it in an inorganic way :pig:

shes gonna perform the song soon tho i forgot where

The song is gonna debut #1 and probably stay in the top 10 until album release time.  That’s fantastic and should not be looked down on.

#120. vampire (+8)

we shouldn't expect every song she releases to be as big as dl and g4u, it's rare for artists to have hits as big as that so the fact that she did it twice in one era is insane

it looks like this will be a 1-week #1 but at least she gets to unseat morgan wallen :clap3: it’s insane how “last night” was released quite a while ago and it’s still competing with a new olivia song. which is not to discredit this song’s performance but moreso how big that morgan song is :rip: i haven’t heard it not once.

This. It’s doing what they hoped it would do. I think they’ll release a second single closer to release week that will be a more obvious radio hit.

Exactly. They clearly wanted the first single to be something different from sour and to be not only commercial but critically successful and vampire achieved that, everyone’s gonna be tuned in for the next single, vampire it’s gonna chart at #1 and the critics love it so it’s 100% a win for Olivia.

The next single they’re gonna put something upbeat and very radio friendly so more people would be tuned in for the album, they’re probably releasing a second single either late august or September 1st.

I think vampire will have a good run on pop radio, it’s still a jam

Yes I doubt it will straight out flop

Not so sure this will last until the album release. Olivia probably will realse 2 more singles at least before the album.
