I know this is just a small win compared to all the things that person did to her ... but I still hope she can finally be free from it.

There's still quite a fight to be had but I'm glad it's slowly turning in her favor, this seems like such a huge win :clap3: It's been exhausting watching all these years go by with so many blows to her, I can't even imagine what it'd be like for her. Holding nothing but hope for this upcoming trial

So does that mean in the event Luke loses his trial, he must pay Kesha back?

Yes, but only for the post-2020 stage of this litigation.

Kesha wanted to have the full damages and fees for the entire litigation since 2014, while Luke argued that Kesha should not be entitled to anything at all.

In the end, the majority of the court decided that the breaking point should be the effective date of the statute (November 2020).

Sadly, he won't be because this is a civil lawsuit.

Though fingers crossed that this decision is enough for Kesha to finally push him into a settlement.
