ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted June 13, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 13, 2023 I agreed with a lot of these opinions until I listened to emails I can’t send. What a phenomenal album
Bhabylon Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 She makes music for the Abercrombie & Fitch fitting rooms and Jamba Juices no tea no shade

Her biggest song is an Ariana rehash But Ari also went through the same, so she still has time Ariana may not have had an identity but she was scoring Top 10 hits left and right and every single was going platinum or multiplatinum Sabrina's bland and boring music hasn't even gone Top 40, despite catering to it

She has some momentum rn and she's been touring extensively, so she could very well be on the verge of breaking out with her next project This. I agree with the earlier posts about her sound being all over the place but she’s been gaining a lot of momentum since signing with Island. And they seem to be doing a better job with the buzz compared to when she was signed to Hollywood. Her next era has a lot of potential.
Taylor fanboy Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 She’s missing drama and controversy. Olivia got ahead on that curve. Email I Can’t Forward is a very nice album.
Power love Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 What are you guys talking about? She’s touring pretty big venues that’s selling out & she got not one but TWO songs to chart on billboard for the first time. she has Momentum & next era is going to do amazing with all the new exposure she’s gotten Even Taylor co-sign
Alex Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 I love her but she definitely just needs to find a sound that sounds like her own and move from there. I’ll always use her for some bops but I agree that she is definitely faceless and doesn’t really have a personal brand of her own. Still, she’s touring internationally and has garnered a loyal cult fanbase so she’s in a better position than a lot of pop flops at the moment.
thetea Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 it's because she's boring and her music isn't that good.
Right Now Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Ngl, every time she tries to hard to be sexy, I cringe. I think if she was presenting herself as more Taylor-esque, she may be seeing more success. Taylor does a good job of leaving things to the imagination while Sabrina is kind of more blatant in just about everything. I also feel like Singular was a more natural sound for her. That’s why Nonsense did well. The whispery **** of most of EICS can come across as her not being as talented as she really is.
Letemtalk Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Taylor and Olivia have the singer-songwriter area covered for older and younger demographics, so no space for her there. She's conventionally attractive, but no-one is thinking of her as sexy or hot - Dua and others have that area covered too. She's too ordinary to be alternative. 11 hours ago, ReH2o said: Payola She wasn't lacking support from the spotify algorithm with "nonsense". I'm not sure if that was paid for or just good luck, but either way, it didn't really help her much in the end. You probably have to be losing quite a lot of money, like Halsey spending $25 million of the record label's money on an IMAX movie. Five albums and she isn't making money, but probably not losing a huge amount. Her acting probably pays the bills. There's just nothing interesting about her.
Baby Judas Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 musical identity? I remember she used to serve dance bops, then switched to sad girl gen z songs when the likes of Olivia, Tate and Madisson were smashing with those kind of songs.
LikeAChampion Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 She's def taking a break from music after this tour. That's why I think she's touring so extensively. After opening for Taylor Swift I think she'll move onto Alice in Wonderland and probably do more on Broadway or another movie or get a lead in a streaming show.
KBax Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 She's boring tbh, she doesn't have the IT factor, she doesn't stand out. I only know of her because of Nonsense, which I think goes for the general public as well. Can't say I've ever heard any of her other songs on radio.
Sad Serenade Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 The base and a good label/team. She has some fans but not a solid base yet. And HR was not a good label.

She has a lot of momentum to have a decent sized era next time
Pinkbutterflies Posted May 9 Posted May 9 She needs a new name so she doesn't sound like your local girl serving espresso.
Titanbaddie Posted September 4 Posted September 4 A year later she's having a bigger debut than Ariana Grande. Interesting... 1
