Can someone listen to Damage and Drunk and Hungover and describe them, please? The itunes previews in NZ are not working for me :chick3:

Drunk and Hungover is a balladesque, dramatic midtempo country song.

Damage is a little bit more uptempo but I would also call it "dramatic" and it has a little more rock influences.

Drunk & Hungover is soooo good damn :WAP:

Damage and Drunk and Hungover are easily the best deluxe tracks (along with Give Her That)! Whew, Damage just blew me away, even though I wish there was a second part of the chorus or an extended version of the chorus at the end, it felt quite short. Still a great song :jonny5:

@Lukey I think you will love Damage!

they are both really good actually! They should have definitely made it on the album! maybe they could have replaced Faster and Garden.

I really like Damage. OOTT is still THAT ***** and it’s criminal that it is not exploding on radio. Maybe the deluxe version was the push it needs?

The only deluxe track that's doing anything for me is Out of That Truck :sorry:

Can't wait to listen to this, especially Damage.

Not too much on "Faster". She pulled from early 90s gospel / adult contemporary for that one.

Deluxe Review:

Drunk & Hungover is a NICE song.

Out Of That Truck, Give Her That, and Damage are solid as well.

Interesting that Drunk & Hungover is only the 2nd song on the project not co-written by Carrie herself. I personally needed one more song with Chris DeStefano because he always goes for something bombastic (Good Girl, Something In The Water, Little Toy Guns, Smoke Break, Renegade Runaway, Clock Don't Stop, Kingdom, Favorite Time of Year, Poor Everybody Else). Should’ve replaced the live version of an already-released song with one of his unreleased co-writes to end the project in a high note.

Ghost Story, Poor Everybody Else, Drunk & Hungover, Crazy Angels, and Faster are my new Top 5.

I love Drunk and Hungover and Damage.

They sound more traditional Carrie than Denim and Rhinestones though.

Deluxe tracks are solid. I prefer Damage to D&H so a little irk they went with the latter as the focus track. I still question why they missed the original album, but the damage is done

I only save give her that and take me out from the deluxe tracks

The bonus tracks really add to the album. I especially love that she fixed the lack of ballads on the original album.

Just wish her team (label+management) would give us more visuals (music videos). They've been lacking the past few albums...

Damage was really good. I like Drunk and Hungover too but I missed the old-school Carrie brought by Damage and the more powerful/angsty lyrics and vocals.

The streaming on Spotify for the new songs is tragic though so don't go check that out :rip:

As expected the new tracks are great :jonny: This album is so good, it's a shame how mismanaged this entire era has been, this should've been one of her biggest albums.

I'm still hopeful that Out of that truck becomes a cute hit or another song from the album (but that doesn't seem to be the case :noparty:). Anyway out of the new songs my favorite is Give Her That.

its so true!  the new tracks are also much better than D&R as a whole and should have been in the album from the start.

I wish her management pushed a little more.

yes! Garden is so cute but like Carrie we need power ballads on all your albums I’m sorry!

Her videos struggle to get 1-2 million views so I don’t blame them

I wonder if this even charted :rip:

My initial thought was, that it remembers me so much of Relapse/Chaser.

Yes that's right as well!

Also reminds me of That's Where It Is/Starts With Goodbye - it's like an evolution from them to Relapse/Chaser and now to this. Wow, mind blown
