NOOO. It was pre-taped?? This is such huge news though, I feel like it will look so dumb if they aren't taking about this tomorrow :rip:

Yes, for the last two months of every season, Friday's shows are pre-taped on Thursday afternoon.  I'm guessing this is to save money and give the co-hosts and crew more time off.

Why don’t some of y’all wait and see before this dooming :rip: he was charged  for SERIOUS crimes, by a prosecutor who has a 98% conviction rate, he wasn’t charged by some scrubb, this is literally the legal system and the U.S. government going full court press against him.

This is the Department of Justice with some of the top legal experts in the country, this isn’t the local police department….

Former President Donald Trump: twice impeached and twice indicted... and counting.

Just waiting until we can add "convicted" and "imprisoned" to his list of honorifics. Fingers crossed.

Espionage is a capital offense and I think we should begin upholding that again. Firing squad for the fat bronzer queen pls :gaycatina1:

I can't even be excited by this because if this is anything like his first indictment, the media and the public are all just going to move on in a week from now. It's so incredibly bleak that someone can literally be indicted for multiple unrelated crimes and still be the frontrunner for a presidential nomination and a toss-up to win the actual presidency for one of the most powerful countries on the planet.

And the Georgia indictment is coming too which seems even more serious :rip:

Here’s how Ron can still win

Does the fact that he was indicted in Miami help him?

Trump’s defense will be that this is election interference and that you cannot charge someone that is a top candidate for president that close to an election. Members of the jury could take that into account and ignore the evidence against him
Now if the trial is after the 2024 election and Trump lost, he’s toast. Unless Biden pardons him

If the trial is after the 2024 election and he wins… that is a nightmare scenario

Really annoyed but not surprised with Aaron Mate and the pro-Trump Super PAC both showing feigned horror last night when reacting to Rachel Maddow’s comments that the political situation to the criminal problem of there being no recourse for his presidency still happening when hypothetically in jail means he should be offered the chance to resign or not run for president again in exchange for no jail time.

Literally none of this is new. The DOJ has to make up for the fact that this is new(ish) legal territory. Rachel properly made the Spiro Agnew comparison which she’s literally been doing an entire podcast on and just sold the film rights for :rip:

That Newsmax host claiming she ‘gave away the Dem game’ and said the ‘quiet part out loud’. Literally none of this is or has been quiet, ever :skull:

Anecdotally, yes. At least going by the massive Cuban influx since the mid-2010’s.

But Jack Smith, according to legal experts, really had no choice but to try the case there and not say, D.C. It’s complex and not completely disclosed as to why, but I get it.

???

If anything, if there's enough evidence that he's guilty, the jury should want even harder vote against him to prevent somebody like that even getting close to the election.

The Espionage Act. :deadbanana4:

The frontrunner for the Republican Presidential nomination is someone who has been indicted under the Espionage Act. :ahh:

I would say that on least the surface level it shows that the evidence presented to the grand jury is rock solid. If even people in FL think a crime may have been committed, the case must be pretty locked down.

Conservatives have LONG been more reliable voters than liberals and progressives :rip: I know you have more political experience than I do but I just don’t agree. Respectfully.

If trumps wins, it won’t be because he picked up new voters. It’ll be because of dem turnout collapse and because of independents turning against Biden and the economy

Agreed

Pretty much this. Dems always win when they get the vote out. Look at GA going blue; that was solely because of the massive on-the-ground campaign to get people out to vote.

A lot of the polls coming out show Biden ahead of Trump or within the margin of error, and most of these polls are not taking into account the youth vote since youth voters tend to ignore polling calls. This means Biden is ahead of Trump with a demographic that typically skews more to the right. Couple that with the youth vote that will far and away go with Biden, even if so reluctantly, and Dems would have to massively screw up in order to lose (do not put that past them lol).

Thankfully, the youth voting block is wising up and are becoming more politically active than ever before. They will be our saving grace (as usual).

Yeah, this. I’m tired of having to beat people over the head with this, but the GOP is in a bad place politically, even with a mediocre at best president in Biden. Trump and Roe are two huge things that both piss off and drive out voters.

If Dems had an election as bad as the GOP did in 22, they’d (rightfully) be getting dragged to the pits of hell on this site. And it’s not because the GP loves democrats and wants them, it’s because they hate republicans that much. Dems also flipped a Supreme Court seat in WI by 11 points in an election that drew almost 2 million voters, the warning signs are flashing bright red that people are pissed off
