xDiamondx Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 *yawn* Until he actually goes to prison, why the **** are we pre-celebrating this news? This is the third ******* year where we know he's a piece of **** and yet he's still roaming free.

Vermillion Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 There’s indictments, then there’s charges. The timing in between will take us past the 2024 election according to most legal experts which is where things get dicey.

It's about the 300th time "Trump is going DOWN" headline in the last 3 years.

Yeah, I’ll wait until something happens but still….it’s more than anything that’s happened under the whole Mueller incident
Vermillion Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 A reminder to everyone that Trump can run for office, win, become president and govern as president all from the inside of a jail cell.

And this is why I find the OP's post premature to celebrate news. If a slimeball like Trump can take this long to prosecute, then there's no actual justice being done.
Swirl900 Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Seems short-sighted to me...now Biden will be the 2nd former president when a Republican takes power because Biden did something similar Can't they get Trump for the election interference instead?

The investigation into Biden's documents has been closed iirc

It’s not uncommon in the Justice system for lots of charges to take time in court, even for petty little things. Its (at least) a sign of some accountability

Biden’s case is a lot different. He cooperated with investigators. Trump was asked for almost 2 years to return the documents, ignored subpoenas, and destroyed evidence. That’s blatant and obvious obstruction. Besides, Biden as current president can claim diplomatic immunity. 1

Vermillion Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Literally every blog I normally visit has crashed and Twitter’s running slow for me too…
shelven Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 I can't even be excited by this because if this is anything like his first indictment, the media and the public are all just going to move on in a week from now. It's so incredibly bleak that someone can literally be indicted for multiple unrelated crimes and still be the frontrunner for a presidential nomination and a toss-up to win the actual presidency for one of the most powerful countries on the planet.
