I mean I knew she wasn't gonna do CD singles because she's releasing like 10 variants of 1989, so she's already milking her fans with that.

I do think she could've released a tour video for CS... even releasing an instrumental version with the original version on itunes as a single wouldn't hurt (and cost nothing)... I can see that her team isn't rly bothered about this going to #1

Releasing a tour video for CS is just dump. The tour is still going on and there are a lot of fans who’ve stayed away from watching any clips before they go a show. Also if the WHOLE tour is being documented and released next year probably, what’s the point in prematurely releasing 1 song?

I’m so confused why her team isn’t pushing this harder, since this could be so much more than just another #1…

 

If they pushed CS she’d tie the record for most studio albums in a row with a #1 on the hot 100 (with 7), and would set her in prime position to break it with TS11.

There's so many things she could do - Live version from the tour, music video with tour footage, a Tiktok doing the Cruel Summer dance, an acoustic version that she can record from her bedroom, even just her posting about would get alot of sales.

i'm hoping for the song to receive an acoustic release, although i'd imagine an olivia rodrigo feature would generate a lot of buzz and to dispel any bad blood between them. #wildestdreams

praying for a tour video to be dropped next week at least. would be cool if she can score another 2 number one songs this year, with CS and the lead vault track from 1989TV.

cardigan and willow got their second wind after the tour so their chart runs are pretty ugly

Idk why some people is so against a live tour video… it’s just for promo. It would certainly give the little boast the single needs to hit #1… and we can also say the single had a video to go along.

in a perfect world we would get a proper video, but we all know that won’t happen

Seriously when do we think they're finally going to act? We all thought they were smart for not doing anything because of how huge that country song got, but was that because they literally didn't have plans on doing anything, or do they have something in mind still? I would think Apple Music would see lifts in position if it were actually going mega viral right now
