It really feels since BB canceled the site sales, they are a bit lost. I mean, they could do anything with iTunes but it doesn't seems this way, also I'm sure if there was a video we would have seen it by now, or teased, I really feel she feels it's huge anyway and the peak ain't matter (weird for her standards but I really feel so)

My guess is this might have come down to budget?

So perhaps the budget they put aside for ICSY was used for Cruel Summer? And naturally the money for playlisting/promotion etc has just run it's course... that, and perhaps they want to give a vault track from 1989 a BIG push... maybe they didn't want Cruel Summer interfering?

Still... it was right there for the taking. :rip:

I thought FC was declining while it was already close last week so why is it still close? :doc:

It gained 3% points this week... so it's not declining.

If we'll ever get a post, it's been a week since.

The answer is easy tho: Single CDs and/or cassettes.

Many other artists have already adopted this strategy to push their singles: Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran, the BTS guys…

Her fans love to buy something tangible, so the demand would've been there. And CDs can be manufactured relatively quickly, in about a week or so, so they had time time to get 20-30k "Cruel Summer" CDs ready for this Friday. :gaycat6:

No #1 for miss lover unfortunately

But yeah, I think her focus right now is clearly on '1989 (TV)', and everything else is secondary, even the tour itself. :gaycat6:

Her ignoring her historic 6-show run in LA and instead posting about a vinyl variant (of which there are 2 more to come) is very telling…

She's fifthly rich but that doesn't mean she'll want to part with a couple of hundred thousand for the sake of a chart position.

Who knows?

maybe it's cuz the tour ended on a sour note and she's still shook and recovering from LA.

The way everyone keeps predicting Drake to release week after week and nothing happens lol

I bet he's releasing after Olivia's album so Cruel Summer still has chances to be #1

Well it's peaking on radio this week. So it's now or never for this being #1

I think she'd rather save that fan energy for buying her albums. Digital download for 99c or less is a much smaller ask than some CD single in the range of $3.99 + shipping, unless she's happy to take a considerable loss on each sale. Dua and Billie could sacrifice that for a much smaller demand. Taylor could take a huge hit if her fans go bananas for a cute looking cassette at a steal-worthy price.
