Swifties are so useless, damn. Army can bring 400 points out of nowhere just from the sales meanwhile we can’t even give CS extra 2 points when it’s needed.

Maybe we don’t deserve her, and the reason why she kept silent after the US leg’s end is the sign of her anger :chick1:

well most of us already bought the song back in 2019.

that, and swifties don’t really mass buy anything as hard as it is to believe.

How sure are we that Rich Men is going to drop next week? Aren't its sales very stable so far? I'm fearing a multi-week #1 :psyduck:

It’s possible, but almost no song in the last few years has been able to sustain multiple large digital sales weeks. It’s rather rare. I’m no expert, but the last time I remember hearing about something like that was BTS website sales - and I can’t even tell you the last time it happened on iTunes.

I honestly feel like Cruel Summer would not have gone #1 in 2019 or close to it in 2020.

Lover just didn't have a lot of songs that felt like hits. It felt like your typical Taylor Swift album and I think it was supposed to since she was on a new label.

BUT i feel like Midnights having songs that sound kinda like Cruel Summer helped the song sorta feel extremely current in 2023.

Everything happens for a reason. I hope it snatches the top spot.

but he still can sustain it for two weeks. Its the same case with the Jason Aldean song.

Seems like the red neck usually has the buying power that last for 2 weeks

I saw someone say swifties are not doing anything. Do ya’ll see the streaming gains this song has had week over week the last like 3 weeks :dies:

It’s smashing your honor! It’s not Taylor’s fault these redneck songs are going mega viral. I still wish a video was dropped or something to generate even more buzz

To be fair, the Jason Aldean song blew up at the end of that tracking week. It sold 228,000 mostly in the last 2.5 days of the tracking week. Then it sold "just" 175,000 in the next 7 days of the following tracking week. So it really only had 9.5 days of strong sales. The 7 days following those 9.5 days it only sold 26,000.

This new song blew up at the very start of the tracking week so its peak of sales will be heavily concentrated in this tracking week versus split between two tracking weeks in Aldean's case.

How far is that other song?

Cruel Summer 1.419M

Richmond 1.359M

But CS is down 4% too vs yesterday. Streams cant drop too much over the next 8 days.

Now the drop is either final show effect wearing off or people streaming a bit less with the Hot 100 decided. I probably think its more the final show, so idk about next week :gaycat6:

Still not over Cruel Summer receiving 5m daily and being an actual hit? It's not a fandom cult classic anymore, it's apart of her catalogue of hits :bird:
