Green Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Oliver is very close on spotify. Only 0,07 of difference 1 1 Cruel Summer Taylor Swift 1 2 151 1,443,848 More 2 1 bad idea right? Olivia Rodrigo 1 1 4 1,423,857 3 6 Rich Men North of Richmond Oliver Anthony Music 3 9 3 1,376,168
Bosque Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 It is kind of increasing a lot out of nowhere I think it's a great end-of-summer song. It's not for June or July when you are hanging out with friends at a pool, it's for late August evenings when you are reflecting back on your summer and thinking of the future in a languid heat 6
simmnfierzig Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Seven on global Spotify is also up 300k weekly I want that #1 1
IBeMe Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 it's best to not expect this to go #1 anymore guys and just accept she got blocked again. It's not the end of the world as annoying and disappointing as it is lol. If she does go #1 somehow then at least it will be a major surprise to us but yeah let's tone down our expectations with this one I think. Too much random competition emerged out of nowhere sadly 2
SimpleKindofLife Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 I’ll never get over St. Vincent co-producing this. Taylor needs to just work with her for TS11
Theluckyone Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Ok I changed my mindset about this. Imagine if you are a Selena fan and had calm down blocked by MAGA x2 from the #1 and #2 spots for the past few months. Or a Luke combs fan waiting for MAGA #1 to drop before there’s a chance at #1. Then only for cruel summer to suddenly blow up and fly up the charts. We still have a chance, and even if CS eventually does not hit #1, I guess it joins lover’s unfortunate singles which peaked at #2 too. But it’ll still remain the defining hit of lover which is great. And go on to be one of her classics. Still hoping this new song drops as suddenly as it rose, and that CS still has chance at #1 in the next few weeks

JawBreaker Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 This has been the most fun song to follow on the charts as a swiftie. We usually got big debuts and then a free fall or a slow decline. So this is entirely new for us. All I wanted was for it to have incredible longevity and its serving just that so I'm extremely content with that. Never expected it to be doing 5m+ streams months after becoming a single I will gag if it's still above 4m for another month... 1

Brooklyn Baby Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 So is this going #1 or what I bought this fckng song twice and have been streaming nonstop 2
greeneyedsoul Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Why are Canadians streaming those MAGA sings?
Beyonnaise Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 My hunch is that they're just waiting for the right moment to go all out, probably starting Friday or Saturday. The MAGA song will not have sales on its side next week and will drop like a rock, and Drake isn't really a guarantee (I remember other weeks where he was rumored to release but it didn't happen.)
Sweetestsecret Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 (edited) Maybe this is why Taylor didn't even try . Huge difference Edited August 15, 2023 by Sweetestsecret

1989 Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 I think it’s pretty obvious this will be pushed next week, not this week. That random MAGA song is too strong, but like the rest of the random MAGA songs, it will fade just as quickly as it rose.
