why does everyone want her to push this to #1???? this song is so organic and has such longevity, even if it hit #1, it would only stay there for a week so its probably best as is

Who cares? Still a #1

I haven't been this enthusiastic about a single going #1 in a while and her team is going to blow it :dies:

The only remix I'm hyped for is "Cruel Summer (feat. Carly Rae Jepsen)" :jonny5:

If that was true then #3 here we go cause that wouldn't help it's chart position at all :rip:

WD should start counting her days, she’s about to get her ass kicked out of the top 10 and Lover becoming her fifth album with an entry inside the top 10 :clap3:

*this isn’t updated

If Style manages to re enter, it might even surpass WD before CS gets to the both of them, and with BS re entering maybe it’ll finally surpass YBWM…

A lot of Swifties would support either way, they can't as they already bought the album version... it's not like Dua has a fan base that could help :rip:

this song isn't slowing down anytime soon tbh. it'll get an anniversary boost in 9 days and 1989 (TV) will boost it HARDD

If a song being astrotufed by conservatives purely because of its political message and not genuine love of music is "incredible" to you, i guess we'll have to agree  to disagree. As i just said, you'll probably see things differently once it happens every week for years to come.

Thank you for intentionally ignoring where I wrote "Putting aside this specific song" meaning I don't think think the song is "incredible" but rather how streaming has given power to audiences and fanbases to choose what becomes a hit.

I wonder which song will pull a CS/Enchanted on 1989TV, hopefully something off evermore :duca:

Ugly swifties are too busy writing puns about the merch they bought from her store to be noticed by TN on Twitter to make that happen unfortunately

I was against making Cruel Summer a single because I thought the Tour boost would wear off and it wouldn't even reach the Top 10. A waste of time and a throwback act kind of move. Turns out it wasn't a bad idea.

I remember advocating for her to send it to radio when it started surging on streaming. I knew it could smash - I felt it in my bones and my bones were right :siptea:

It’s not far from being her biggest song on Spotify ever :jonny5:

What is this whole forecast thing?

i think music video will come out in august 18 and she will try to push to #1 in the following week

Posted

I can’t believe of all the songs she’s pushed to #1 cruel summer is getting paid dust. Maybe she reads Atrl and sees all the drags about cardigan and Willow and is just gonna let what happens happen.

Seriously. I feel like it's either absolutely nothing or a huge easter egg. Is she going to star as a meteorologist doing a weather broadcast in a music video or something
