Taylor Swift - "Cruel Summer"

Recommended Posts

So glad this masterpiece is finally gets its dues. One of the best songs from Lover and it still surprises me to this day that it wasn’t chosen as the lead; it encapsulates the album far more than Me! & YNTCD.

remember though, while the GP have only just caught on, us Swifties have been preaching this hymn for 4 whole years!!

Dance The Night's updates are slowing dramatically, too :gaycat4:

Dare I say this is headed back to #1 for a few more weeks of organic smasher now that the label-forced hits have had their time:jonny5:

I'm hopeful, but rather wait and see in order not to jinx it...

Cruel Summer is coming to outshine Karma, I Can See You and 1989 TV's lead single. Taylor must be mad mad:fan:

Is there any chance that Cruel Summer can climb to #2? Probably not this week since the release of Olivia's sophomore. But what about the upcoming weeks?

I think Paint the Town Red and Fast Car still have a proper lead over Cruel Summer but on the film release week I wouldnt be surprised if the song shoots up to #2 and becomes her 3rd #2 song from Lover

She is obviously saving the video for June 19, 2024. That way she can have the summer anthem of 2024 and break the record for the longest climb to #1 on the Hot 100

We would need DTN to start dropping very fast because Barbie World will pass us in 10 days or so. Hopefully it happens :duca:

The fact the two songs that took the #1 from her are now falling and she is set to be #1 again. :dies:

Funny how that happens, isn't it :deadbanana2:

Record labels will continue to play musical chairs with the top spot on pop radio, but Cruel Summer will prevail :cm:

Streaming in US is the biggest reason it's not challenging for #2 or #1 peak

It simply needs a boost where streams are 1.7-1.9m daily in US
