I dont get why Swifties dont just organise a mass purchase to get CS to #1

They could easily do it

The gap to #1 is too large this week, then Doja Cat is gonna make a push for the #1 next week... it's over

No, we're not. We have an infinite amount of money, on account of being 14 and stealing our parents' credit cards, according to OTHs. :coffee:

I am however still pleased with the success :)

A digital single is like a dollar and a CD single 10 at most :rip:

Most fans only buy 1 variant anyway, I’m only bagging the yellow one since I love the color and the cover is beautiful

Ya'll do you want this woman to get overexposed yet again? The smart thing for her and her team was to let CS have a life of its own. Its not a new single. Its a 4 year old song for goodness sake which fans then the GP started streaming. It would be incredibly tasteless for her to go "oh another chance for a number 1 let me hop on this and feed into every crooked name I've been called".

Its fine that she and her team have let this ride out. CS has done its job. With 1989 TV coming, they're probably putting major focus on that as its her biggest album.

Omg just stop with the overexposure excuse, she has been EVERYWHERE since 2020 and she has never been as popular as she is now. Once again, trust me, the GP doesn’t care whether she is giving CS a push or not.

Hopefully the tour concert film teaser gives Cruel Summer some boast :jonny5:

I’m so starved for any acknowledgement of Cruel Summer by her that I’m actually happy they used it for the Concert film trailer. Like that’s SOMETHING :weeps:

She should release the CS live performance.

Lol at this point, someone should commission a Kickstarter campaign for the Swifties where they shoot an EDM type MV (artists never appear in them) and then label it "Fan Demanded" version like Hilary's "Sparks" to shade her and her team. 100 million views easy and they can use the proceeds for a charity Taylor donates to. That'll get her attention LMAO.

Yep! She needs to post that on Youtube as a boost for the song and get people excited for the movie. A double win.

30 seconds of the song is playing in the background which is a requirement for it to count. So yes. It’s also on her VEVO page so it will count the same as a music video stream.

It will be illogical to release a tour video considering an entire film of it will be release. A tour video can also overshadow the trailer video which is needed for awareness and marking purposes.

How sure are you on this? Is it case by case basis at Billboard's discretion?

don't think so since the song isn't licensed under it

but if it counts then I'll be pissed because the twitter trailer got over 16M views while on YT it's at 0.5M, she should've just posted a link to yt...

No I will not stop. It can happen to anyone. Didn’t she admit to be overexposure on the phone to Kanye when he was asking her about Famous? Come now…let’s use our brains.

All Taylor has been doing is releasing music and going on tour. If you don't want to listen to her, it's very easy to do so. People that are listening to her want to listen to her and the people that don't want to don't. Without monoculture, overexposure can't really exist.

The only people getting mad at her constant releasing of content are people that are big followers of pop music, i.e. forums like ATRL or stan twitter. And they only get mad because she is currently outshining their faves, that's about it. That doesn't represent the real world in the slightest.
