Justin Bieber literally doesn't have a single classic album...  michael jackson and elvis are far, far, faaaaaaaar more superior lets be realistic now. Justin only has big songs (that are quite frankly only big in the year itself) saying justin bieber could compete with michael jackson is like saying ed sheeran could compete with michael jackson lol

I'm not counting bands or anyone who has died.

So I would say:

Ed Sheeran (UK)

Sam Smith (UK)

Harry Styles (UK)

Justin Bieber (CA)

Shawn Mendes (CA)

The Weeknd (CA)

Drake (CA)

Bad Bunny (US)

Post Malone (US)

Justin Timberlake (US)

Bruno Mars (US)

Kinda sucks that Kid Laroi and Kylie are the only big Australian artists in UK/US/Europe. I kinda hope Cody Simpson would've done it and carved out some cool surfer-pop/rock sound for himself.

Zayn could've been huge...other than that, we don't have any big Asian male singers.

Of the past I can only think of Michael Jackson. He is a legend.

but of the past few years , I would say Justin Bieber, bruno and the weeknd

Met. People here don’t give enough credits to legend Bruce.

Other than Zayn (UK) of half Irish/English and half Pakistani descent, other big male singers of Asian descent are half Filipinos Bruno Mars (US) and Enrique Iglesias (ES).

Robbie Williams for the 00s: (Chartsmasters)

2000 - 6,1 million - Sing When You're Winning

2001 - 7,6 million - Swing When You're Winning

2002 - 8,0 million - Escapology

2003 - 3,6 million - Live at Knebworth

2004 - 8,8 million - Greatest Hits

2005 - 6,5 million - Intensive Care

2006 - 2,6 million - Rudebox

2009 - 2,5 million - Reality Killed The Video Star

= 45,7 million albums sold. He outsold Timberlake. (by 2:1).

2000s should therefore be: Eminem, Robbie, Usher

Robbie has been so consistent:

1997 - 4,0 million - Life Thru a Lens

1998 - 5,0 million - I've Been Expecting You

1999 - 1,5 million - The Ego Has Landed

2010 - 1,9 million - In an Out Of Consciousness

2012 - 1,4 million - Take The Crown

2013 - 2,0 million - Swngs Both Way

2014 - 400,000 - Under The Radar Vol. 1, 2, 4 (2014, 2017, 2019)

2016 - 850,000 - The Heavy Entertainment Show

2019 - 750,000 - The Christmas Present

= 17,8 million (==63,5 million)

i said michael jackson can compete with justin. i didnt say justin can compete with michael jackson.

read with comprehension not just yapping at the keyboard.

justin bieber has classic album. its purpose.  the album that broke the beatles record. the album that got him the 8 guiness records. the album that broke all time spotify record. purpose tour tour thats known as highest grossing concert for 2 years in a row. justin bieber that broke elvis presley record.

the certain bitter man I can't stand :skull:

i mean as much as i dislike him he is successful and isn't going anywhere :chick3:

Overall: Eminem. His global stats are insane. He’s huge here in Asia even though we don’t use rap music.
At the moment: Harry. Smash album sales, smash album track streams and smash single streams. Justin and The Weeknd have nice single success but their album sales and album track streams are weak

Garth Brooks, Metallica, Backstreet Boys, Guns N' Roses & Red Hot Chili Peppers.

And November Rain was the first 90s music video to hit 1B views, I think it's still the most viewed too.

mabye but i know lots of male singers, i am not a rap fan so it could be that to be honest, but i think outside London in the south we don't listen to much rap, its more the big cities like London, Manchester that listen to rap, i'm from the Middle class shires :)

What about Jay Chou? Or are you only considering English speaking asian male singers?

Jay Chou sold about 30 million records mainly singing in Mandarin and has toured in English speaking countries like the US, UK and Australia. Plus he's made the the IFPI list by topping the global album sales list this year

https://www.straitstimes.com/life/entertainment/jay-chou-is-first-mandopop-singer-to-top-ifpi-s-global-album-sales-chart#:~:text=TAIPEI – Taiwanese singer Jay Chou,Works Of Art (2022).

And was ranked the #9 top IFPI global artist for 2022.
